Proven how? By 13 minutes every fifth game, than benched again for few games after he score in even such a short time on the field?
Remember when he saved us few times, like against Genoa, etc, than didn't get any minutes after it for few games, all in order to play Kalinic who didn't scored for almost 10 months, but hey, who cares...
Silva is one of players who was greatly mistreated by this club...

This. While I do think that he may not be a good fit for the Serie A, the way he was treated made it impossible for him to excel.

Glad he's doing well now , but the defences in Germany are not like in Italy.You can see by his record in Europe and for Portugal since he left Milan 3 years ago arent good.Hes only scored regularly in the Bundesliga.

He started 7 games and scored 2 goals.
He went to La liga and scored 9 goals in almost 2400mins, starting 28 games.
He didn't prove himself worth the price tag in 2 leagues. Bundesliga is the only league he can play in. Not worth taking a chance on such a player.

Remind me of another target of us, Jovic which haven't done much outside of Bundesliga. And his good buddy Haller which didn't set BPL on fire after arriving for 50m. Out of Rebic, Jovic and Haller, only rebic has proven himself outside of Bundesliga, this is the kind of difference between bundesliga and the rest of the leagues.

I wouldn't pay 14M for Schick. OK, euros but he flopped at Leverkusen, Leipzig and Roma but then suddenly he is good enough for Milan ?

Instead of €35m total, the operation should cost the club €22-25m. Plus the inclusion of Giacomo Olzer and maybe even Lorenzo Colombo (possibly a two-year loan). There will be a buy-back clause for Olzer.
