Whether management share these thoughts is something I have no clue on, I just can't predict what they'll do these days.

I'll put my money on Doria. We should buy him, get him trained and ready to go with Alex and Rami, that way when Alex is well past his prime we dont need to look for another stopgap player.

He was heavily rumoured for a long time (mostly when Seedorf was coming). In terms of cost, I can see him costing 5-10m (at least) on the market. Given we're struggling to get 4m to buy Rami, who is more mature and proven at Milan, I don't see the club spending that sum on a player who is still too young to expect guarantees and is more about buying potential than the complete product.

I think Doria realistically would cost somewhere around 10m no less, every time I have seen him play he has impressed me a lot, I think he has great potential (imo Thiago Silva or even better) and very mature at his age, even at 19 now if we had gotten him I would have expected him to be in our first team squad.
Sadly I see it far far from happening now esp. as ACMILAN1983 mentioned he was rumored along with Seedorf (Although I had seen him play before that and always wished we would snap him up before any of the big spending clubs do) , supposedly he's good friend with Seedorf and he was supposed to convince him to come to Milan, I just don't see that happening anymore the way things evolved between the club and Seedorf if not the contrary now. Big loss.

Imagine this past winter, we invested the 12.5M (the total value of Seedorf's 2.5-season-long contract) in Doria instead of Seedorf. I bet that Seedorf would have helped us convince Doria to join while they were still teammates.
