RE: Week 28: Milan - Inter March 8 2026 20:45CET - Zio Fester - 03-08-2026 Good win but too late as Inter will likely win the league. Broke Gerry at the end celebrating like he's won a trophy. RE: Week 28: Milan - Inter March 8 2026 20:45CET - Bennacer - 03-08-2026 We are kings of the top matches! What a resilience this team have. Monster performances by De Winter, Pavlovic, and Modric. Fofana also had a very good match despite his chances. Fantastic assist btw. He is actually really creative at times. Inter were really not dangerous besides those two chances from Mikki and Dimarco. We broke there 14-1-0 line, mayve that could have a an effect on them? 7 points is a lot, but bigger miracles has happened before! Lets give it a shot! Forza Milan! My rating: - Maignan: 7. - Tomori: 7 - De Winter: 7,5. - Pavlovic: 7,5. - Saelemaekers: 6,5. - Modric: 7,5. - Rabiot: 6,5. - Fofana. 7. - Estupinan: 6,5. - Pulisic: 6. - Leao: 6. RE: Week 28: Milan - Inter March 8 2026 20:45CET - xudong - 03-08-2026 Not an enjoyable second half, as Allegri played way too defensive. The referee did a fine job. Other than the yellow card on Rabiot (unless I missed something?), he controlled the game well and allowed both teams to play the game. We should've led by 2 or 3 goals in the first half, but we also were lucky that we didn't concede first right before our goal. Pulisic didn't get any credit in Estupinan's goal but his beautiful positioning meant that Sommer cannot move further to completely block off the near post. Of course, Estupinan's execution of that shot was also sublime, and that reminds me of Theo. The commentator kept talking that Estupinan would mess up defensively (f*ck him) and Pervis unfortunately did which eventually led to DiMarco's miss. After that, Merda simply lacked ideas to break down our defense. Also, I don't know what happened to their more important offensive players (9, 10, 20) but I couldn't care less. After that stage, the game was just like our recent one against Roma but of course there was always that kind of random event that could ruin our three points, like Roma's penalty and today I was worried that it could also happen with Ricci. I thought that handball was there though slightly, so we can call ourselves lucky there because this referee is an established one; if VAR is involved, I am worried what may happen. The Inter ball that went in for sure though was clearly after the whistle so there was no controversy, nonetheless, we were still lucky in that situation. 7 points with 10 games to go. Inter have Atalanta, Fiorentina, Roma and Como coming up in Serie A for the next four rounds. RE: Week 28: Milan - Inter March 8 2026 20:45CET - xudong - 03-08-2026 I also wonder when it was the last time that we beat Merda twice in the league in the same season? I clearly remember 93-94 (both games with a same scoreline of 2:1), but I am sure (and certainly hope) that that wouldn't be the most recent time. Well, I am very happy now. This is a good Sunday. ![]() EDIT: Just checked Transfermarkt since 93-94. We did it three more times: 02-03, 03-04, 10-11. We all won important trophies during those seasons. What a shame that this shitty Merda team is leading by 7 points and most likely going to win the Scudetto. Yes, Estupinan is a liability in defence, he had some bad moments, thats why i gave him 6,5, maybe a bit harsh, but overall he needs to step up his game to take Bartesaghis place. RE: Week 28: Milan - Inter March 8 2026 20:45CET - xudong - 03-08-2026 Not harsh. 6.5 seems fair to me. I also would give MoTM to De Winter (or Modric) but it is completely understandable that the scorer of the Derby winning goal would receive the award. I guess Rabiot is now suspended for the next game then? Thank goodness Lazio this season has not been in their best. What is up with their #10 and #20 both on the bench but never came in today? Can they continue to skip the next few games? (I like how Inter looked so toothless when their starting attacking duo were out and get a taste of how we have felt for the majority of the season with Leao and Pulisic never fully healthy--even now.) RE: Week 28: Milan - Inter March 8 2026 20:45CET - reza - 03-09-2026 Leao must be injured, his running being way off is not just laziness or something. Elsewhere someone mentioned a good point, may be he is hurt but avoiding surgery cause he wants to push to play in World Cup. I think it is up to Allegri to make sure Milan's best interests are protected. Lautaro asked to be put into the squad so he could be close to the team but knew he was unfit to play any minutes. As for Calhanoglu, maybe he didn’t want to be in another 11 that loses to us. |
