RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - ACMILAN1983 - 06-13-2011

We're heavily linked to Astori again after Galliani's comments about wanting him back last week and it looks set to go to a blind auction for him between Milan and Cagliari. My biggest concern about the transfer is lots of people may be left disappointed if he joins us, seeing as many places are talking about him being the next Nesta. At the same age, Nesta was arguably the best CB in Italy and was already world class. Astori is struggling to break the Italian national side during a period when Italy has very few good CBs, which in my opinion pretty much sums up the difference. I do want Astori back, a player who I consider talented enough for at least a role in the squad and a homegrown player at that, but he's a player I hope we're realistic about.

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - abbeyleemania - 06-13-2011

Ferrera-Montero Juventus

Materazzi Cordoba inter

Costacurta Maldini Milan

Favalli Nesta Mihajlovic Couto Lazio

Thuram Cannavaro Parma

When we signed Nesta, we all went for Cannavaro, then inter signed Cana, we signed Nesta...There was many world class CB's in Serie A at that time...

Astori has talent but he has to prove himself at highest level...Rolando(Porto) Zapata(Udinese) are other interesting alternatives for CB position...Zapata plays with 3 man defence, considering they play with a defensive formation...They have 1 more CB's in their defence...

Belgian fans rate Witsel at Asamoah's level... Lucho Gonzalez is on the market...Aquilani is on the market... if we can sign Aquialani for a low price, possible loan option to buy, i'd take that risk...Lucho costs around 10 m euros...What i didnt like about him, he is slow...Banega costs 8 m euros... Lucho is big, strong and good finisher...Nainngolan...Kucka...we already linked with him...2 way, agressive, skilled and tecniqual midfielder...

if we can add 5 m euros more to 15 m euros, we can sign Hernanes.

Lucho ? Would fight to be on our bench ...
He was very bad when he arrived in Marseille, he slowly improved during his first year and his level slowly decreased in his second year (he wasn't even a sure starter at the end of this season). Bad option for us, and he had some problems with the coach/management this season.

and I believe that age is on his side either. Isn't he like 30?

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Ca Rossonero - 06-13-2011

According to today’s edition of ’Leggo‘, Galliani will insist on tearing Hamsik away from Napoli; It is said that Napoli don’t need to sell him, but Allegri specifically asked for the number 17, and an offer in the region of 30 million € may convince De Laurentis to give Hamsik up.

Milan may include Antonio Cassano. He could be guaranteed a starting place but his salary may be a problem.

Meanwhile, Galliani and Braida have already tried to bring in, Italian National midfielder, Alberto Aquilani.

The Roman, owned by Liverpool, after a season-long loan with Juventus, is already looking for a new adventure and as he stated before he would love to join Milan.

It seems Milan already has a pre-agreement with both Liverpool and Aquilani.

It is reported that Aquilani is willing to cut his salary in half.

These two could be a great addition to a team, who will be challenging for the Champions League next year.

-------------

I do think we need two midfielders. hamsik + aquilani (at right prices) would increase quality. Aquilani can do pirlo/seedorf role in CM organizing, and Hamsik in the hole is an excellent player to compliment our forward line.

I'm with abbeylee.... aquilani at right price, is worth it. If we pay 15 mil for him, then it'd poor business

BTW i still think 20 mil wouldn't get hernanes. Lazio has him signed thru 2015. It's going to take more to pry him this summer...

Wasn't sheva 30 million pounds (35-36 million euros at the time) and Henry 16 million euros?

Sheva: 46m Euros, 2006
Henry: 24m Euros, 2007

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Gio-mania - 06-13-2011

Kakà's dad was apparently at our HQ in via Turati, talking with Braida. As he left he said "Ricardo isn't moving", though.
In the meanwhile Galliani, Allegri and Braida are still in there as of 18:42. They are discussing our mercato, they say.

In other news, Juve are interested in getting Vucinic. Amauri possibly heading to Napoli.

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Ca Rossonero - 06-13-2011

i would not be surprised is kaka is our replacement for cassano (IF cassano leaves)

very milan move

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Aficio - 06-13-2011

Nothing is impossible for Milan. We had all kinds of crazy transfer, both positive and negative meaning. So it is hard to be surprised Big Grin

Kaka is no longer like before. He has lost his most deadly weapon: pace.

check out this youtube clip for some of his prime time moves. It is amazing how fast he can move with ball.
