RE: Summer Mercato 2022 - Demonbanana - 08-27-2022 Milan and Inter in for Chelsea CB Trevoh Chalobah. Chalobah prefers Milan. I know nothing about him... Il Monza ha chiamato per #Bakayoko. L’interesse per il francese del #Milan c’è, un big incontro ipotizzato per il weekend. Partita aperta per Bakayoko ora: ci sono anche sondaggi dall’estero.- luca bianchin Uncle Galliani and Papa Berlusconi coming in for Bakayoko RE: Summer Mercato 2022 - sylrus - 08-27-2022 (08-27-2022, 03:02 AM)Demonbanana Wrote: Milan and Inter in for Chelsea CB Trevoh Chalobah. Chalobah prefers Milan. not tomori for sure, he cannot even get a good 1st time game when tomori is 1st choice at chelsea, not the cb that we should aim imo, better keep gabia than chalobah RE: Summer Mercato 2022 - nefremo - 08-27-2022 I hope G saves us from Bakayoko. This would actually be a good move for them because they need a defensive midfielder. Their midfield is nonexistent from a defensive standpoint. Al they have to do is take on his wages. Maybe finally we can than sign a CM. RE: Summer Mercato 2022 - Demonbanana - 08-27-2022 Milan is on the verge of signing one of the best and most promising talents in Europe: Gornik Zarbze 16 year old midfielder Dariusz Stalmach. He alreadybhas 20+ appearances on professional level with his Polish club. Milan beat Roma, Juventus and other European clubs to sign him. Onana to Spezia is almost complete. The deal has completed insync with Inter who will have priority to sign him next season. RE: Summer Mercato 2022 - Demonbanana - 08-27-2022 *predominantly negative post* It's at this point where I don't think we are going to be able to make any more signings. Onana looks set for Spezia. Chalobah will now stay. Onyedika to Brugges. If it stays like this , it would be the first time I would deem management failed. Negative: We wasted literally 3/4 of the window waiting for Renato Sanches who didn't come. We wasted a quarter of the window on Botman who didn't come. We did not replace Kessie. We did not replace Romagnoli. We did not get an adequate Theo back up. We did not get a RW , we Couldn't close Ziyech despite nearly the whole window been linked. We still have Bakayoko in the squad despite having 0 intention to play him which means we buy him. We didn't sell one of Messias and/or Saelemaekers. We have failed to loan Lazetic and Gabbia despite the fact they both need loans. We are one injury from having to start Krunic or Pobega with the failure to replace Kessie and terminate Bakayoko. Would Onana, Onyedika, Enzo Fernandez be better ? Maybe, maybe not. Positive: We added depth in Adli, Pobega and De Ketelaere. All 3 have potential but all 3 are young and inexperienced. I think all 3 can be star's but how soon, we'll see. We added Origi who can cover multiple positions but has just a few minutes experience in Italy. I still think he will be good for us. We got rid of Duarte and seemingly Paqueta for some cash. A lot of player's (Maldini, Nasti etc) got loans. Time is ticking to turn what I have written around. I have some hope. We may as well promote Chaka Traore. Get him in as third RW. I mean how much worse than our RW could he be ? Tomori was never a 1st choice at Chelsea. He has played 1367 minutes of PL football for them. But you have hope we can "fix it"? Look at the players we are linked with recently. How will any one of them make the difference between failed and not failed? I mean, we're only linked to backup players who most likely won't contribute with anything in the near future. Onyedika, Onana, Chalobah, Thiaw and so on. Not exactly top shelf. Chaka Traore is probably talented and can become good, but at 17 I'm 99.9% sure he is nowhere near Messias and Saelemaekers just yet. RE: Summer Mercato 2022 - nefremo - 08-27-2022 It's almost as if Chelsea saw that Milan is interested in Chalobah and said, "oh he must be good and we are definitely missing something....let's just keep him, AND spend another 80m on Fofana". ![]() Anyway, I do think a CB will come. We'll see very soon if the lack of investment has to do with the fact we are still owned by Elliot. It would make sense that ownership that's about to leave in a week or two doesn't want to pour funds into something they are selling. It would also make sense that Redbird will not provide an investment for something they don't officially own yet as anything can happen and until official transfer of ownership happens, nothing is 100%. With that being said, I'm obviously scraping the barrel for positives here. I have no clue why it took this long to close. Maybe this is normal. I don't know. In any case, once Redbird takes over, we'll have a better idea if investment will be provided or if we'll simply be only allowed to spend what we make + small injection of funds where needed. I am hoping it's the first and that this was the hold up of Maldini's contract. I am all for self-sustainability as I've said in the past. But to be a top CL club and be self-sustainable, you need to grow the revenue to at least 400M. That can only happen with success which is dependent of initial investment. What I'm saying is, if Redbird wants a self sustainable and healthy business, they have to help us get there first with some fresh injection of funds. The need for those funds will become less and less as the revenue grows to acceptable levels for a club that wants to be in the leading group in Europe. I think we are unfortunately in a pretty tough spot when it comes to club finances. Without our own stadium, we are pretty much never going to be able to grow our revenue to acceptable levels. And yet, the stadium is at least five years away from being done, we cannot invest much into the team even if we have an owner willing to pump money into the project. If we go out and spend 200m, UEFA is just going to penalize the shit out of us using FFP again. RE: Summer Mercato 2022 - reza - 08-27-2022 Malick Thiaw coming apparently |
