RE: Winter Mercato - 2025 - xudong - 01-20-2025 No management can truly bring Milan back with this leech of an owner (yes, this management still stinks). Just as no coach can truly bring Milan back with such an incompetent and arrogant management (yes, SC can win us a SuperCoppa and perhaps some big games now and then.) The root of all evilness is that Gerry Cardinale. RE: Winter Mercato - 2025 - Beppe - 01-20-2025 But did we spend so much more under Elliot? RE: Winter Mercato - 2025 - slifersd1 - 01-20-2025 I don't mind selling Tomori since he hasn't really been that good the last couple of years, but selling him right now and to Juve just feels stupid. Whether I like him or not, SC seems to like Tomori and starts him every game. Why would you rob your new coach a player he likes when he already has 100 problems to deal with? And then, to sell him to a team you are in direct competition against for a CL spot? And on top of all of that, it's a 25 mil loan option deal too, so not like we are getting a huge sum like we did Tonali. Just odd all around and feels desperate for cash RE: Winter Mercato - 2025 - Zio Fester - 01-20-2025 Tactical analyst Luca Diddi: "What we’ve seen so far – whether in the Supercoppa or their recent comebacks – has been driven purely by the sheer will of their coach. And let’s be clear: the coach is not the problem – he’s the right man for the job. The problem is the team. It’s spineless. Mentally weak. Call whoever you want to sit on the bench; it won’t change a thing. This squad simply doesn’t have the guts. And let’s not even talk about the attack. This team needs a striker. A real striker. A proper number nine. If they can bring in a leader on a free transfer, great – but what they really need is a powerhouse in midfield and a striker who actually knows how to score. And no, someone like Rashford is not the answer." RE: Winter Mercato - 2025 - winstonwolfe - 01-20-2025 https://sempremilan.com/galatasaray-initiate-milan-emerson-royal-talks This would be fantastic. RE: Winter Mercato - 2025 - Zio Fester - 01-20-2025 Fabrizio Romano reports Galatasaray have made initial contact for Milan defender Emerson Royal, while Gazzetta says West Ham and Bournemouth are among the clubs interested in Noah Okafor. Moncada chased Emerson all summer so unlikely to sell or loan. Mike, Tonali, Bennacer, Kessie, Kjaer, Giroud Tomori, Leao and Theo to name a few. On top of that Maldini and Pioli brought a lot of tranquility to stability to the team.a Scudetto and CL semi final appearance. All for RedBird to take over and go the complete opposite way. Even look at what Maldini did for Theo. Sent him his signed jersey and sent a little message to him. He’s still in the background. He’ll be back one day RE: Winter Mercato - 2025 - Beppe - 01-20-2025 (01-20-2025, 03:59 PM)Leoni9900 Wrote: We made a lot of key signings under Elliott. I know, maldini and Massara spend smarter, not more. They bought us a lot of key players! Royal to galatasaray would be great! He’s no good. And with walker we need him even less. RE: Winter Mercato - 2025 - nefremo - 01-20-2025 So recent rumors have us discussing the exits of: 1) Okafor (actually he was already out before his fat ass was found unfit....so now maybe some EPL clubs will save us) 2) Chuk (rumors of EPL interest) 3) Pavlovic (Fenerbahce) 4) Emerson (Galatasaray) Apparently we are open to all these sales. I don't disagree with that decision and I hope we can move all 4 to make room for something better. BUT, what does this say about the current management? They signed Chuk and Okafor 18 months ago and Pavlovic and Emerson just 6 months ago. What I'm saying is....if we sell those 4, then do NOT let the same management pick out their replacements. Just fire the management team as well. Because with those imbeciles we'll be selling in June, those that we buy now. Mercato doesn't look too good for us right now. Had a thought after the Juve game.. As fans we're always hopeful but let's be realistic for a second... We're very fortunate if we qualify for CL end of the season. We don't have the team to win CL, realistically why would we do anything significant in January? Walker makes some sense, bring in some experienced security for 6 months squeeze whatever we can out of the team we've got and try to qualify for CL. Everything is just stop gap and short term right now, there's no long term plan in motion at all at the moment. Clubs a mess and there's nothing to win this season. Coach will probably be done in the summer and pack his bags anyway. They brought him in because they know he has pride and he's a tough manager will yell and scream and squeeze the best out of a team that's clearly not capable enough. This is the strategy. Even if we do sign the targets we've got on the cards.. Walker is a good signing he brings experience and solidity, in a position where we need it - plus the locker room impact good signing IMO. 2 year contract max sure. The rest of the links? Nothing solid in midfield where we really need something. Attack? We're just throwing shit at the wall and seeing what sticks. Joao Felix isn't someone we need so why is he a target? I'll tell you why - because he's outcast at Chelsea and there's a chance of a 6 month loan with OPTION. Same story with Rashford. If we had diligent plans to strengthen our attack we'd buy D. Nunez cash, we'd be chasing Gyokeres.. We'd be looking at other options IMO - not two left wingers hoping they can play striker. Why are we looking to sell Tomori? He's decent - even if Thiaw & Gabbia are our pairing, he's a good sub. We want to have another top defender in rotation, sure OK makes sense. Reason we need to sell Tomori is because we fucked up signing fodder like Pavlovic and we have no other way to raise that $. |
