RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - LebRN - 06-08-2011

i think players like Aquilani, De Rossi, Menez, and probably Montolivo are all players that can show so much more if the play in a team like Milan so i will be very happy if we sign one or 2 of those Big Grin

obviously a Fabregas would be a dream but as already mentioned, he is really expensive so the chances of signing him are not really that high

Gattuso staying??? i've never been the biggest fan but we all know he would play his heart out for the team and that alone is enough for him to stay so i wouldn't mind that as long as he is not a starter.

He wasn't last year, so barring injury, I don't think we need to worry about that. He's my favorite player and I'm glad he's staying. The only reason I would have been happy to see him go is if the russian team paid a ridiculous sum for him which we could use to buy a young star. But regardless, I'm glad he's staying. I just wished Seedorf would have gone and I hope that Oddo goes..

i think he was a starter last year and the only time he wasn't was because he was injured or not 100% fit which was quite a lot

Yeah I guess you're right. I was thinking he started a lot only because of injuries to other players - but either way you are right, he definitely played a lot. Hopefully that will change next year by moving Boat to RCM and getting Ganso as ACM.

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Gio-mania - 06-08-2011

I don't see Menez as solving any of our problems. Despite how bad or good he is, the position he plays in isn't in our schematic. He is more of a second striker, which we have plenty of. As things are right now a guy like Robinho starts off the bench, so I don't see Menez having much playing time now. We do need a trequartista, but he cannot really fill that role properly.

We are now being linked to the ex-Interista Maxwell. Supposedly the move would make us play Taiwo further up the field. ( http://www.sportmediaset.mediaset.it/mercato/mercato/articoli/61485/milan-10-milioni-per-menez.shtml )

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Kaka1899 - 06-08-2011

i think Menez would be a good addition at AM, he would be like Kaka', he wouldn't dictate play but he would dribble and run with the ball before laying it off, he would add alot of movement to the midfield and to the foward line also somewhat.

Didac Vila will be sent on loan at Espanyol. That's a good move for him to get some first team football. Hopefully he'll improve there.

I don't know. somehow didac vila reminds me of grimi. Undecided I do not see a future of him with Milan. Sleepy

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Ca Rossonero - 06-08-2011

The Gattuso/Van Bommel combo was steal for our midfield though. I mean they were a large reason we had such a good goals against record.

I don't mind it but we clearly need to get younger. Hopefully Flamini is sold and we sign 3 good young midfielders with technical qualities
I also don't mind Menez as a depth signing. If we do get a player like Fabregas or Ganso a 4-2-3-1 is not out of question

----------pato
robinho--ganso--menez
-------mvb--gattuso

or sub boateng in for gattuso. I'm not talking every game but tactical variety is always nice

I'll wait before I give any judgement. In Spain they seem to rate him highly. Huh
