Italy has quotas for Italian players needed to participate in the league as does CL. You can’t have a team of all foreigners. Also, This is terrible for the future of the Italian NT. The municipalities just have to start letting teams own their own stadiums and pull in those profits. Otherwise, the league continues to worsen. You can’t just have a few teams do this either otherwise it destroys the balance of the entire league. There is a reason the Juve can make stupid EPL like transfers (de ligt, Chiesa, bremer) but not suffer catastrophic consequences if they don’t pan out. If we buy 30+ mil players (Pacqueta, Piatek) and they don’t work out we have to reset the whole squad. It’s madness. We should be building a new stadium in Milano already.

It might be Diallo + Onyedika

How would it make you feel guys?

I think Diallo is fine. Provides cover and that's what we need. We have a starting pair in Kaluli - Tomori, so we really need someone that can play that aggressive 1v1 defending style. I think Diallo is in that type; however, i'm not so sure how good he is. But other than him or Tanganga, I don't see another candidate of that type that could come on the cheap/loan.

On Onyedika...hard to tell because I haven't seen him play at all. If this management thinks he can grow into the squad, than I'm for it. As I mentioned, they've proven to be able to dig out these talents and provide a growth plan for them. Better him than someone like Tameze that would clearly only be a stop-gap just for the time being.

Here's a link to UEFA's explanation. Talks about January registrations and changes with explanation that a player can play for 1 team in the group stage and another team in the knockouts. It's my understanding that with the initial registration (prior to the group stages), anything's a fair game.

Good info!

If Paris are paying part of Diallo's wage, that's fine.

A little underwhelming mostly since I don't know about coming from the Danish League to Serie A. Have to trust Moncada and his team.

Personally preferred N'Dicka and Onana but probably not possible.

Serie A teams to already crash out of Coppa Italia: Salernitana, Lecce, Verona and Sassuolo.

Torino beat Palermo, but nice to see Palermo back again.

Diallo is not bad, young enough and has had a lot of experience in Bundesliga and Ligue 1 already.

Onyedika is a complete unknown and comes from a league that is even a couple of notches below the Belgium league. Even if we sign him, I honestly doubt he can be much of a factor. The leap in quality is just too big and it is not like he was dominating Danish league or anything too.

RE: Summer Mercato 2022 - Aficio - 08-09-2022

I think we need a solid CB more than a CM.

There are many options for CM: Tonali, Bennacer, Krunic, Pobega, Adli and there are Florenzi & Calabria. Well, Baka still has one or two matches?

For CB, there are only the KaTo duo, Kjaer still recovering, Gabbia still in doubt.

Botman & CDK is the dream mecarto, but what passed is past. And maybe we should prepare to endure the status quo.

Berrardi had a bust up with fans. Not sure how they can value him so much yet they finish mid table every season. He may want to force a sale. I think we need more Italians in the team….

Onyedika looks promising and I trust Maldini and co obviously. Don’t think he’s for immediate impact though so not sure if it solves anything.

Really hoping we sign Fofana. Guy is seriously no jokes and more then replaces Kessie in fact I think it’s an improvement
