For example, I'm extremely confident for this weekend against Empoli. And to be honest, as long as we beat teams like Empoli consistently l, then I can settle for some losses against teams like Fiorentina. That type of a pattern should easily have us fighting for the CL.

True. It's against the smaller sides it is most important to be picking points, and that's where we've been failing for the last two seasons. We just need to be consistently good against the small clubs, grinding out win after win, while also making it extremely difficult for any team to come to the San Siro and get a result. If we can do that, we're at least looking at a top 5 finish, I think.

I think most would agree that we still need at least one other midfielder to be competitive. Since the big names are unlikely at this point, would a surprise deadline day return of Cristante be a good idea? He fits the all around, skill oriented profile that we are looking for pretty well. We only sold him cause we needed money to get Bonaventura, could be an interesting case.

Latest rumour is that we have not given up on Soriano. With Jose Mauri then possibly being loaned out to Chievo.

Also Matri getting closer to West Ham.

And Carpi interested in Zaccardo...

According to Sky, Soriano's buy-out clause is still valid, but Milan would prefer not to activate it and thereby force Sampdoria to sell him, as we don't want to damage our good relationship with them.

I have to say that if that is true, then I respect the way Galliani does business. In the long run being a gentleman will always pay off. It would also explain why Ferrero said so many good things about Galliani last week, and even kissed him on the cheek Big Grin

We are linked with Javi Martinez?

Where did you see Javi Martinez links? What a signing that would be..

Turned out to be a false rumor started on the "Milan Fans" group on Facebook. They quickly deleted it though.

Ugh, should have figured. Another circus act by our management this summer again.

Berlusconi: "we are aiming for top three, but we secretly hope to win the scudetto"
Galliani fails to sign all these quality players, spends 20m on bertolacci and 25 on romagnoli.
Miha loses one game, after he was hailed as 'our best signing', mercato closed and our big midfield signing we awaited ends up being Kujcka.

I'm still hopeful we make a final day purchase but I'm not getting too excited.

RE: Summer mercato 2015 - Arildonardo - 08-28-2015

Rumour: Mexes to Fiorentina, and then Ranocchia to Milan as replacement.

Montella will be watching the Milan-Empoli game live. We all know Berlusconi was fond of him since his Fio days too. Surely this wont happen lol!?

PLEASE Berlu make this happen, and Ill forgive you all the suffering from the past few seasons!!
