Kucka has played in a mid-table team his whole career and at 28 years old it would be hard to make the final leap. Playing for a team that fights for a champions league place is totally different, there's a lot of pressure to win every game, and we already have a fair share of mid-table, average players.

Well, last year they placed 6th in the table while we placed 10th, so it could be worse. Let's not forget that we generally have much better players at our disposal than Genoa do, so if Mihajlovic does a good job, we should be able to aim for 3rd or 4th, at least.
I am not thrilled about Kucka either, but at least he is the type of player that Mihajlovic wanted. Someone who is strong defensively, but can also contribute in attack. And let's not forget that sometimes these "smaller" signings do work out. Gattuso was brought in for 8 million from newly relegated Salernitana and eventually become one of the best defensive midfielders in the world. It's all about how these players fit into a system and how well they are able to work as a unit.

Kucka hasn't joined a team that will be fighting for Champions League , so he's fine.

He will in no time become another Nocerino, Birsa, Zaccardo etc who are easy to get, difficult to dispose..

We dont have to dispose. We'll have a grande midfield trio of Birsa, Nocerino and Kucka. Poli on the bench. Whole Europe will fear us.
