RE: Summer mercato 2015 - devoted_dm - 08-26-2015 We're now being linked with Pajtim Kasami. I know nothing about him. Is he any good? Summer mercato 2015 - PerSempre - 08-26-2015 What does it matter? Since Berlu cut off the spending we have to look at low quality midfielders for loan I think Berlu is crazier then FerreroSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk RE: Summer mercato 2015 - maharaja - 08-26-2015 With Balotelli back, and without significant improvement in the midfield, this mercato is turning into a nightmare. Bertolacci is fine signing, but he is only 10% of what was missing last year - creativity, creativity and more creativity. Balotelli is a finished player, who would struggle to find a place even in a Serie B team. And we didn't need any reinforcement in the attack after Bacca and Adriano. The only good thing about that deal is that there is no option to buy. RE: Summer mercato 2015 - reza - 08-26-2015 I remember I posted - here on MM - my concern about the Chinese market a month or two ago but if we are this dependent on a stock market fall that might only last 6 months then we might as well close shop. I thought the plan was to be back in the CL as soon as possible, it should be 100% expected to lose lots in 2015 and even 2016, stock market or not. RE: Summer mercato 2015 - slifersd - 08-27-2015 I know Berlu is kind of a nut case, but the rumor of him cutting all spending just doesn't sound right to me. Like many said, we have already spent a crap load of money on this team, what's the point of stopping now? We save, what, 20M on a new midfielder, and then end up missing out on CL again? Berlu is a nut, but he is also a business man and he knows how much impact winning vs. losing makes for a team's finances. And for that matter, what would Bee say to that? He is trying to build a glamour team to dramatically increase interest around the globe and therefore reap benefits of the increased popularity. Asian fans are not dumb enough to buy the jerseys and scarves of the 10th place team in the CL man. What I think is happening, and this is merely my own speculation, so take it with a jar of salt. Berlu probably told Galliani to not sign big money players outright, but do a loan with purchase obligation. He is probably not happy with the fact that 20M players like Romagnoli and Bertolacci not performing up to standard, and wanted to minimize the risk. To a degree, I would understand that move. Since we are incapable of signing anyone who can give us any guarantees, might as well lower our risk so we don't overpay for crap. I think we would rather spend a bit more now and get the kind of player we need, rather than risk going another year without CL participation. Berlusconi is no idiot when it comes to business, and I think both he and Galliani are willing to listen to Mihajlovic's advice in this situation. Milan Channel said that we are not in negotiations about Soriano anymore, while some usually trustworthy sources in Italy are claiming the opposite. I think we will get him in the end, but who really knows? The only thing that's certain is that we will be bringing in another midfielder. I'm apparently a dumb Asian fan then, seeing as I buy the jerseys of a 10th place team ![]() ...banter RE: Summer mercato 2015 - devoted_dm - 08-27-2015 Meanwhile Sampdoria are talking to Bayern about HĂžjbjerg, so I think they have accepted that Soriano is leaving. RE: Summer mercato 2015 - slifersd - 08-27-2015 In a way, it might be the fact that Miha wanted Soriano that led to Berlu putting the lock down on the budget. Seeing as how Miha is the one who insisted on Romagnoli, Ely and approved of Bertolacci, Berlu probably doesn't have a lot of trust when it comes to Miha's ability to evaluate players. I don't personally agree with this approach, since it's only been one game, which is not enough time to judge a player. But this is Milan, so that's really not news at all.
