So first we renew his contract and now we are offering Mexes to Atalanta who promptly rejected him. This management.

The rumours are it's Illarramendi OR Moutinho, not both. Anyway, to try and answer your question...

Illarramendi is a regista who has good passing qualities, while he is solid defensively too. He tends to play the ball in deeper areas of the pitch, so don't expect a guy that will notch up a whole bunch of goals or assists through the year. If he came, he'd take De Jong's spot, or at most play to the side of him. One his biggest strengths is his reading of the game, which is one of his strongest qualities, while I've noticed he seems to like to play a lot of vertical passes, which would probably suit Mihajlovic's system well. It might seem obvious, but he's probably most comparable to Xabi Alonso, although obviously not at the same level at this point in time. However, there is a risk with him, in that he was excellent when he came through at Real Sociedad and was excellent for Spain at youth level, but since moving to Real, his career's stalled quite badly as he's been a squad rotation player and was always behind more established and higer profile names. However, it's typical Real, spend over 30m on this guy and then never use him because they spend significantly more on bigger names.

On Moutinho, you're talking about a very complete all round midfielder. I think he can probably play in all four positions in the midfield diamond (never really seen him used as trequartista personally). He's got good passing, movement and is technically very good. He runs a lot in midfield and has got this really good ability to direct and move with the play and is very good with how much he can contribute defensively. He's also got a decent shot and is good at set pieces. If he comes, I think he'd do well as a kind of mezzala, one who starts early in moves to get attacks going, but follows the move through to the end, which would allow his ability to direct play to be utilised.

Today, the Gazzetta dello Sport reports that not only will the Sampdoria midfielder not arrive, Berlusconi has blocked any further significant investment.

Presidente got angry...it's time for : Loan with Option to Buy (which i kinda like actually)

Well that doesn't make any sense to me... You spend 83 millions to try improve a team, and then block further investments that could make your previous investments work...

RE: Summer mercato 2015 - Jay Crisp - 08-26-2015

CDS reports that after the €83m spent that Milan can no longer spend and will only look for players on loan.

Could the stock market crash in China and Oil prices falling to their lowest in years mean Bees backers are pulling out ? And Berlu now knows hes not getting back his 83m ?

RE: Summer mercato 2015 - Arildonardo - 08-26-2015

Official: Asier Illarramendi back to his former club Real Sociedad.

And we're dropping our interest in Joao Moutinho because we're concerned about his injury status.

RE: Summer mercato 2015 - Beppe - 08-26-2015

Now Hojbjerg from bayern is on the radar. Does anyone know what kinda player he is?

RE: Summer mercato 2015 - Jay Crisp - 08-26-2015

We're only after a loan deal for a midfielder reports on Sky.Honestly with this midfield and defence they'll of spent all that money to be midtable.
I am not being dramatic , the midfield is that bad it cant help going forward or with the defence.
