THe more I look into it, the more I think this so call gift from Berlu and the hints given by Max and Galli is about a girl that Berlu is trying to get in bed.
Think about it, 183 cm, good with both feet, ro BUST body, nice hair, deep blue eyes. Sounds more like a model than a footballer to me.

I actually and honestly have thought about that.... I was thinking they would announce the name of this girl after we capture our target..as some kind of joke.....

Man Utd linked with Nasri and Modric. If we were ever linked with these guys, I don't think we stand much of a chance to Man Utd.

Someone who follows Witsel closely (watches him regularly) please tell me what his best position (I read, he can play in many positions) and best things he can offer (passing, tackling or other thing?).

I only watch his video and I could only get a video showing his goals. In one of scene he did a one-two pass ala Kaka and run to the PK area. But there is no scene when he owned the ball and play the the game with his feet. Is he more fitted as CAM behind strikers then other positions?

I don't follow Witsel closely - not at all - but I believe that he is a RCM. More like Gattuso's direct replacement, instead of the LCM that everybody is talking about replacing.

and yes, I also heard that he can be used in multiple positions, but IIRC, his natural position is RCM.

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Beppe - 06-02-2011

I have seen a lot from Witsel, as I'm from belgium. I've seen him play for Standard and for Belgian national team. At the moment he is playing as an attacking midfielder for belgium and Standard. But IMO his best position is central midfield. He is very strong at the ball and his passing and scoring ability is great, as he gets into the box often. He is also very strong mentally, wich is quite important!!
I rate him very highly, and for 12-13m he is a steal! He's only 21yo and has A LOT of room for improvement. I would love to have him at Milan, I'm sure he will succeed.

Perhaps the daughter of some football director in Brazil?

Thanks for the description, guys. With how Allegri and Galliani described our target, it seems they look for player they has described and seems we are in strong position to get the player (no or few opponents to get him aka no bidding war). If Witsel is our target and he is like Beppe descirbed (a potential but not a very young player like Merkel), I see him playing behind the strikers and Ganso as LCM like Galliani and Allegri have said IIRC, that Ganso can play as LCM.

The two signings probably won't give sudden success in CL but seeing how the price of players nowadays and that a team now should fine future star then buying expensive stars (except club which has unlimited money like Real, Chelsea or Syekh's clubs), I will be happy since we still have experienced players and we can build a team that can compete with strong teams in Europe for many years (instead of instant success with giving out so much money which is also not bad).

Whoever ever the management buy, it should be good for Milan for at least some years and we should always provide a competitive team every season. Please, no more suicide and blunder action from management like seasons 2006/07-2009/2010.

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Gio-mania - 06-02-2011

If the Witsel rumor is true then we cannot think of challenging in the CL. I don't know anything about him but at age 21 we cannot put those expectations on him, as talented as he may be. He could be great but not Messi.

I'm not saying we shouldn't get him, because if he can be a good future prospect at less than 15 mln then I think we are making a good investment. But to hope to make it further in the CL we need to get a big name. Maybe Berlu's gift for us will solve than. Witsel + Fabregas would be awesome. Pastore or Ganso instead of Fabregas would be very nice too, but consider they are very young so the same reasoning as for Witsel applies.
