Clubs wanted to loan him some in Serie A ,but he refused.He wanted more game time but didnt want to go on loan.

That being said, Cristante is a very talented young player. Unfortunately we are probably going to have to let some of our talents go as time passes. The benchmark for being kept by Milan should be players like El Shaarawy and De Sciglio, who at a very young age were able to become regular starters for Milan. Cristante is talented and will grow into a fine player. Players like the two I mentioned though, will grow into being truly world class, and that is what we need.
With that kind of thinking we will never develop a single young player. I would never put Essien in a game of that importance knowing his brainfarts and stupid mistakes when he played for Chelsea as well as playing for us earlier in this pre-season.If we really cared for our youth project we would have done the same thing that Chelsea did, a dry loan of Cristante to some team to get more playing experience. However, Galliani's greed for money is the only reason for this deal. We don't have money to buy good players yet we sell our most promising youngsters, talk about logic.

Another way to look at is if we're facing stubborn small club whose sole intention is to get a draw and they park the bus who would you rather have to come, Essien or Cristante? I know who I'd prefer too. As important as the head-to-head games against European contenders like Roma or Fiorentina, there are far more points to be gained against these clubs so having another player capable of unlocking defense from the bench is arguably even more important.
That said, if we really sell Cristante, I think it has something more to do with Galliani can't resist the temptation to get an easy cash than with Pippo's lack of faith in him. After all they won Viareggio together (not to mention Cristante won the MVP), an achievement that our management really emphasized on.

Apparently the word is that he asked to be transferred because of limited game time. Good for you kid.. Know your worth. You're easily the best technical midfielder on this team until Montolivo recovers. You should have been shown more faith if this #youthproject was ever a priority.

But a 19 year old should also be patient, I am not defending Pippo or Galliani for this at all but still.
EDIT: By my count that makes 6 18-20 year old sold this summer. Ely, Boateng, Pacifico, Iotti, Cristante, Ganz

If he's not willing to stay and fight for a place in the team, then he shouldn't stay. Pippo is clearly more than willing to include youth players in the team, but there is a lot of competition at Milan, like there should be. If he can't handle that, then that's his loss.

There's only 1 person to blame and that's Galliani (as usual). Cristante was promoted to first team last season with promise of regular playing time, Galliani even said he'd play against Atletico in CL. Instead Galliani signs washed up fodder Essien on ridiculous wages and we lose. Furthermore, Cristante barely get's a sniff whilst we consolidate 8th position. In the couple games he played he managed goals/assists. Galliani then promises him regular playing time and Cristante thinks his chances are good now Monty's injured and Pippo's coach. Instead, we renew fodders like Muntari and keep fodders like Essien and Poli. We also decide to keep Saponara and try him as mezz'ala despite him having played winger/AM his entire career. Then Galliani further blocks Cristante's development by signing Van Ginkwho, a guy who we're developing for Chelsea with no purchase option. A guy who didn't want to join Milan and was out the entire last season with an ACL injury. I can't blame Cristante one bit for asking to leave. He obviously realized Galliani's full of lies and was just hampering his career.
We've sold 2 potentially WC Italians for peanuts this year. When we finish outside top3 this season (we most definitely will with rookie Pippo and garbage free transfer rejects) DES/SES well be sacrificed next season.

That's because our "youth project" is about those really, really young players. 18-20 years? too old! Didn't Galliani just recently praise that we have a great 97, 98, 99 class? We are talking about 14-16 here.

Competition is fine when it's fair and you're rewarded for performing well. During his time here, that has not been case at all. Average, "experienced", players keep their spot in the squad no matter how many mistakes they make. That's not fair competition at all. I'm referring to the Essiens and Muntaris of the team here. Kid probably saw that the situation wasn't about to change in a hurry.

I agree with Mystik. Competition is fine but it should be based on merit only. He doesn't like what is going on (Essien getting ahead of him, for apparently no good reason) and I don't blame him at all for wanting a change.
I just hope that he still has Milan in his heart, and when he can, he will still come back to Milan one day (not when he is 35 or 36 years old of course).
