RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - WCmilan - 06-01-2011

Mario is without a doubt the most talented italian footballer around but yyour right his talents are limited to an extent because of his stupidity, i've posted about this before and still cant seem to understand why he keeps doing these stupid things and slacking off if he has the potential to be the worlds best striker.. Pato has the potential to be the worlds best striker as well however at least he works hard at it and with him it is a question of injuries.. Balotelli is just a question of plain stupidity

Milan are actually being linked with a very solid Italian midfielder that I like very very very much... Claudio Marchisio reminds me of a younger Schweinsteiger.. it remains to be seen whether Juve will let go of one of their better Italian players..

If we were letting go of Pirlo for him, maybe yes. But now as of this moment, we have no bargaining chips that they need. I don't see the move coming unless we trade off some of our youth products, or unless Legrotalli wants to go back to Juve Sagrin

Marchisio is okay, honestly, I really see nothing special about him. I would rather give Merkel more regular playing time.

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Gio-mania - 06-01-2011

Please, please, please no Marchisio. Overrated and not what we need. Also as a person I have my doubts on him.

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Ryo - 06-01-2011

Just checked. Ganso is 1.84m with a head full of hair and good feet.

The only thing under contention is whether his physique is really as robust as Allegri wants and the EU passport.

Who knows. Maybe Taiwo will suddenly be granted his French Passport in the next few weeks.... XD

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Kastriot - 06-01-2011

Barcelona are in deep negotiations with G.Rossi.And he will not come cheap. (I personally don`t get why they want him, but surely he can be a good vice-messi.). barcelona are a financial mess, that is a known fact, hence the ugly sponsor on their jersey for next year.
Now if they get both Rossi and Fabregas it will cost them around 75 mil..i personally can`t see the economic logic even more so that both will not improve the quality of the team (most probably will be bench players).

I liek Sandro Rossell cuz he is business oriented and my guess is that he has given up on Cesc. Xavi is still better and will be for the next two years. In meantime they can promote one of the guys from their second team (I hear that they have great CM there.)

That is the reason IMO why Galliani is going after Cesc, he actually sees a possibility there. And its not true that he would not be interested in MIlan.
Cesc is a loyal guy. He would never play for Real,Chelsea,Man UTD or City. If Barca is out we are the more likely destination.
Arsenal are ready to sell,Cesc is ready to leave, the fans have accepted the fact that he will be gone.

So with a bit of micro management by Mino Raiola I think we can lower the price and get the guy at a reasonable price which will still be a high 35-40 mil euros.

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Siregar - 06-01-2011

If we look at our latest transfer campaign, we bought 'cheap' players. What I mean cheap here is that their prices are either under market price (Ibra definitely, Robihno should be as well) or obviously low price (Boateng, Sokratis and loan-deal agreement). Our turn point of transfer campaign was last year since we bought players more than we expected. Previous seasons we also bought players but not as many and as important like last year but the philosophy was still same, 'cheap' players like Huntelaar. Silva was also 'cheap' one since he was at the end of his contract IIRC.

So, I do think, we can only get Hamsik, Fabregas if they really want to quit their clubs and that decision should reduce their price. It is different with Ganso. He is kind of player of Pato. Milan gave much money to get Pato and I can see the management do the same thing with Ganso since both are super talented young player.

As Galliani mentioned it a couple of times, Ganso can come if the FA bring back the old rule, 2 non-EU per season, I do think Ganso will come, either this summer (if the rule of EU-players is changed) or in winter. My tip is we get one good CM this season for a pretty much some of money (if the possibility is there like Ibra, Robinho case) and Ganso. The bonus is player like Asamoah who costs 7-15 mil euros (especially if we can sell some of our players like the dutch left midfielder, Flamini, or other).

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Gio-mania - 06-01-2011

Barça is a strange case. They have a world class team, really, but they always see the need to invest big cash. First with the mad Ibra-Eto'o swap. As good as Ibra is I still don't think it was worth making that investment. Then they sold him losing big money. That summer they also bought Villa for the attacking department, for 40 million I believe. Right now they have one of the best attacking trios, Messi-Pedro-Villa, and they want to get Rossi who wont come for less than 25 million. A great sub but maybe not worth the investment.

Fabregas too would probably just sit on the bench. As Kastriot said they can wait for one of their primavera/cantera players to step up once Xavi is past his prime. Spending 40-50 million for a bench player who basically just has "sentimental value" is wrong. Just as wrong as constantly investing in big name forwards just to please the fans and create hype.

Hi Shegs, I'm here. Big Grin

I've been reading the new forum for quite some time, but I've been very busy and unable to discuss anything here.

I will write a bigger post about our season in general and about a current transfer campaign as soon as I get some time for it.
