RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - xudong - 05-31-2011 From another Milan forum (DM), by a member who is supposed to be reliable. Quote:ALLEGRI Live at MILAN CHANNEL give hints about the midfielder : what do you guys think? RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - reza - 05-31-2011 (05-30-2011, 09:33 PM)shegs Wrote: off topic, does Revolver still come to MM? I don't think he has registered here. Enabling the member list is a possibility in the near future. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Gabriel426 - 05-31-2011 Thats sound like another non eu player to me, thus he will be playing in Serie A already. Should be Hamsik, except for the hair part. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Gabriel426 - 05-31-2011 ITs funny how a lot of you are butchering the team. It is like admitting Milan over achieve this year. I think changes are needed but more to do with players leaving. Guys like Janku, Oddo, Bonera, Legro, Dilac, Papa, Pirlo, Slowdorf and one of Gattuso and Ambro. Since most of them are bits part players, you really don't need to replace them. I think about 4-5 additions are need for Milan to compete on all fronts, and only 2-3 of them are starters. LB is one and one or two midfielders. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - WCmilan - 05-31-2011 This player could be montolivo? He looks relatively tall and if it i can't begin to express my disappointment, i think montolivo sucks to be honest, even on fiorentina and his italy caps i havent seen him do anything noteable to near catch my eye.. If it's Schweinsteiger ill run outside naked, if it's hamsik ill probably do the same, if its Fabregas (which it wont be bcuz none of those features really describe him) ill cry and be happier then winning a CL, Asamoah.. i wouldnt be disappointed but i wouldn't be exactly estatic either.. If you guys must know who fits the description "perfectly" it would be Bale, he's exactly 1.83 and if it is I'll be the happiest person alive. I think it will be, Galliani's said we're looking to buy him, not only that but he preformed amazing against inter and us which of course is a great sign when investing in a player because he obviously has something that inter cant handle, I don't want to get all your hopes up but I think we signed Bale. Think about it, Raiola said hes been working on it since February, isn't that around the time we faced Tottenham? and after he crushed inter? The price shouldn't be an issue because I know how Berlu is especially, when he see's a player like this money suddenly isn't the nearest issue .. Bale would also be perfect for CL football and he made his mark this year, definitely.. If it's actually him im a genious ![]() http://www.rossoneriblog.com/2011/05/30/allegri-gives-some-hints/ There's a link to what allegri said, AMAZING with his feet? Sounds even more likely to be bale.. Robust physique? That's the only thing in the way of my guess, bale is built dont get me wrong he can handle challenges and seria a with his physique but robust doesn't really explain him.. Schweinsteiger is 1.83 as well however.. who knows. he wants a player who can make runs into the box i dont think any player does it like BALEEEE.. if you guys haven't noticed i just love players with speed, it's my favorite characteristic in a footballer, speed and technique. ALSO a must see , although it's wikipedia it just raises my hopes even more.. On 4 November, Bale stated that he intended to remain at Tottenham for the remainder of his recently-signed four-year contract, despite reported interest from other clubs.[42] On 19 March 2011, Tottenham announced Bale had extended his stay at the club until 2015.[43] As of recent however, inside reports are claiming Bale will make a summer move to AC Milan in a part-exchange deal that will see Gattuso and 40 million euros being headed the Spurs way as Redknapp looks to add experience and defensive capability to the midfield as Lennon is still a very reliable source of providing what Bale does, however 40 million looks to favour the Spurs greatly. On 17 April 2011, Bale was honoured with the PFA Player of the Year award, as voted for by his peers. In doing so, he became the only fourth Welsh player to win the PFA Player of the Year award (the others are Ian Rush, Mark Hughes and Ryan Giggs).[44] RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Gabriel426 - 05-31-2011 Bale will be interesting as he is a much better LM than LB. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - mihan - 05-31-2011 Gattuso to Spurs? How about Jordan? It's to them like Materrazzi to Milan to us. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Gabriel426 - 05-31-2011 Well, Galli and Co were in London over the weekend. And someone names such as Modric, VDV, Bale, Sandro, and Cesc all popped up. Personally, I think VDV is out of the question as he shares the Jordan-Gattuso relationship with Ibra. Modric, Bale, Cesc are interesting but there are tons of buyers out there if they are on the market. Quite frankly, even if Spurs and Gunners do not want to sell to an English team, if a EPL side can offer twice or more money than Milan, I doubt they won't sell. Sandro seems to be likely one, as there ain't a lot of clubs who is after him beside Milan. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Gio-mania - 05-31-2011 I ran a search with those criteria (1.83, eu-national, midfielder) on the Football Manager 2011 database and the only interesting hit I got was Axel Witsel. I've never seen him play though so I don't know if he meets the other criteria. Do consider though that Allegri said "average-tall" height, so 1.83 is not necessarily set in stone. Plus different height measurements are given by different sources. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Siregar - 05-31-2011 It is funny how Allegri describes our target. There should be ton of players suit to the criteria. It seems Milan personal are making fun with medias lately. Back to mercato, it is rumored that Cassano will go out from Milan to find club where he can play regularly due to the statement of Italy coach, Cesare PraNOOBly. I don't know what the noob coach said in detail but I think Cassano wil get many games in Milan and chances he got last season should be more than enough to get call to the Italy natioanl team. I don't want to lose Cassano since he has shown he can give something to Milan with his performance especially if he can improve his attitude in the game. With him, Robinho, Pato and Ibra (plus Inzaghi) we will be strong in Serie A for a couple of years, something we haven't seen in the last 5 years or even 10 years. I personally don't count Scudetto so much (since I adore CL trophy, for me 1 CL trophy should be worth at lest 5 Scudetti) but seeing how screw our team building lately, I am happy if we can win scudetto (almost) every year. Cassano could bring something me missed last season in CL, a game changer or a player who can decides the game with his assist (even Cassano is probably not a match decider). Cassano's performance in Milan was pretty much delicious to watch especially if he was given the freedom to build the game upfront by his own (he lacked the spirit though). As already has been mentioned often here, Cassano was cheap and earns not so much, so having him in Milan is at least not a bad thing. |
