But anyway, even if they were willing to pay up...I think we gotta take a step back and see what that money will do for the club. Can it be reinvested and how?
I think the team is shaping up nicely (if these rumored additions arrive). We would essentially be missing a RB (which won't come until Calabria/Conti leave, so 80mil from Donna doesn't quite help here) and a back up striker for Ibra.
I think we do everything we can do to extend his deal. We can sell next summer after we get in the CL and we can really go for some heavy hitters on the market. 80mil at that point plus shedding his high salary will be much more helpful then 80mil now.

Rotate with Kessie and Bennacer, we can't have them playing 40-50 games next season especially seeing how its going to be a compressed season. We can't afford to sub in Krunic for a critical match against Juve or Inter. We can't only have 11 first team players and think we can get away with it. Look at Juve and Inter, they have a packed squad and doesn't lose much with rotation while we only have Krunic left for rotation.

Idk about that but Koch is 1/3rd the price of Milenkovic.

Another plus in having multiple starting level players for the same position, is that if 1 is to be sold next year...you are not scrambling the market trying to replace him. And ontop of that, even if you find someone to buy, you gotta worry about integration in the line up, etc. A risk.
But this way, you already have a ready made player to step in. Already integrated in the line up and all. No risk. You still have to replace the departing player, of course. But it has less of an impact (less risk) at that point. We'd already be a step ahead.

Not sure CB is such a pressing issue. Kjaer-Roma is very solid. Gabbia has improved every time he's stepped on the field. I think we have something with him. He's quietly become one of the most improved players, and by the time the sesson ended, he really looked good. A loan to a Serie A team where he'll be a starter could be enticing, but i wouldn't be opposed to keeping him either. I just don't see what spending 10-15mil on a CB will do for us at this point. We won't get a starting material CB with that money. And it's very debatable of that money will get you someone better then Gabbia/Musacchio.

Kepa was one of the worst goalkeepers in PL last season. We have one of the best goalkeepers in the world, we should do what we can to keep him and extend his contract.
I don't think Chelsea would pay €80m cash, they have bought for €143m already and are about to sign Kai Havertz for €80-90m too...

100%. Waste of time to think of CBs in this window.
I am not even sure the RBs mentioned are much.
We need to fix the mid and hopefully management and Piolo have something in mind in case Ibra, Rebic or Leao get injured long term.
