At least Kaka kept his cool. If he pushed the referee as Ronaldo did last week, he would have got further screwed.

The bolded part just struck me (without surprising me) that apparently, 48 billion liras was deemed too much for a 21-year-old Gerard who was up and rising at that time, but 35 billion liras was not too much for a 35-year-old Redondo, who ended up spending 2 and half years on the injury bed and played 16 games in total for Milan before retiring from soccer totally.

This is too much hatred towards Galliani. Redondo 35 years old when we signed him? Really? So he finally played with us when he was 37 years old since his injury was about 2 years?
AFAIK we got him when he was still on peak, not young but still a star in his position at that time. Kind of Biglia (when we got him) but of course in significantly in higher level of quality. Many were very dissapointed when we got injury since we could not use him for around 2 years. He finally played but he was not a player when he came to Milan before injury. 2 years injury and coming back in age of around 33 yo, no one could expect he could maintain his performance, but still it was a joy watching him playing with Milan, his unique type of play was still there.

Galliani in the last 5 years, criticise him all we want. Before that, he and Berlusconi were legends, period. Nothing but respect for them.
