Well, Berlu could be right about that. I mean, I would like to have the kind of player that Soriano is, but on an individual level, how much better is he than the players we already have? It might be a good idea to invest more and bring in a real quality player instead. Berlu is fortunately not afraid to think big, and knowing how Galliani works, we could actually end up signing a player that nobody has even mentioned yet.

Berlu still hopes Ibra will return he said in an interview. Am I the only one who doesn't want him to come back or do others agree?

Well I was pro-Ibra a couple months back. Now, even though I'd welcome him, I don't think he is a necessity. I think we are better off investing heavily in a midfielder rather then Ibra. IF we could do both, then fine. But if it's one or the other, then I say forget about Ibra.

I've never been Pro-Ibra.

I've been saying for the longest of time that we need another CB after Romagnoli and an extra Midfielder of quality for us to be effective and truly competitive.
If Paletta and/or Alex leave, then we need a versatile CB who will do as good a job as Romag and Ely have thus far. I wouldn't mind if said person was a bit more experienced, but he has to be quick and he has to be good with his feet. I don't want another Acerbi (that dude may be tall, but he was sloooow as hell).
For our midfield, I can see us bringing in another quality MF, but to be perfectly honest, I would not mind if we threw Montolivo or Jack out if it meant we would get a Starter-quality MF AND Soriano for rotation. I believe that this would take us from stable, to contenders (for a CL spot I mean
)But regardless of who leaves, we definitely need an upgrade for CB and our Midfield.

I agree. A star midfielder is a must. Ibrahmovic is not necessity. I would still welcome him, but not at the cost of enforcement at midfield.

I agree Ryo. If two defenders leave (2 of Alex/Paletta/Zapata) which is a good possibility, then we will need a CB. And then obviously a starting CM. At that point, if all goes well, we should be challenging for more then just the 3rd spot.

I have believed in this since the start. We need a solid midfield. Especially a fantasista to make the final ball. Imagine those wonderful defense splitting thru balls being sent to the right space in front of Bacca, Adriano, Niang, Menez. Also reducing our reliance on crosses.

I am sure you don't agree with that line of thinking lol, but that's what Berlu is going by. It's actually good news if you ask me that Berlu is interested in investing in quality instead of quantity. We might not agree with his evaluation of quality, but the strategy is at least on point.
Read another rumor linking us to Illaramendi from Real Madrid. Solid signing if we can get him. All around midfielder who can play the ball and has defensive tenacity, and he won't cost a fortune to sign.
That's fine, he's entitled to his opinion, likewise Miha's apparently requested Soriano rather than Witsel. Bear in mind I have always questioned how much of an impact Soriano would have at Milan, just I have the same question about Witsel. I agree that it's positive he seems to be questioning quality though.

I've never been fussed about him. If he comes, he can help for the short term, but if he doesn't, we still have a good chance to rebuild.
