The difference is that nowadays, with the development of football, the development of the way football is played, this "philosophy" seems more adequate and works.
And about creating a new philosophy, well, it's done once in a decade, even less ... As long as Milan wins, no need to create a new way to play football ...

No top tier team use so many midget player before,not hungary,netherland or ajax.they reminds me an muscled up mexico team.
their play makes other teams look like in slow action mode. they are setting an football standard right now.that's a new phyilisophy to me!!!

It is not entirely true to say Barca's philosophy is that of Hungary or the Netherlands. It is based on similar ideas but it has evolved and developed to include the way the modern game is. What is true is there is no team in the world that can currently match Barcelona with that style. However that doesn't mean they can't be beaten, merely that you can not simply copy their style. It is based on years of teaching with La Masia. What is interesting is that Barca see the midfield as the most important area of the pitch and try to have as many Masia graduates in their as possible. Milan could learn from that.

Xavi, Andres and Messi are all unbelievable players. To have produced all three through the youth system to play at the same time is special. Milan's defence is as good as Barca's and up top it comes down to what kind of attack you like (personally I prefer the dynamism of Barca's front line) But Milan are so far behind Barca in midfield.

I had been saying this all along, if all things are equal, like injuries, forms, determinations,....are the same, there is not a team in the world that could beat Barca. That's how good they are. That's also why I hate it when people were happy that Milan got a 2-2 draw and only lost by a goal to them in two legs earlier, and kept saying, Milan is there wi Barca and could have beaten them..... Fact were, Barca was the better team in both matches, Barca got 4 out of 6 points in two games, Barca could have won both games and Milan still have no answer to Messi and company. There is no doubt that this is a very special team, and is probably the best team since Sacchi Milan.

For only 14M, what a move! Serie A can get more attention.
Frankly, I do not regret this transfer, as we now have El Shaarawy and many good attackers. Honda can pass but he likes to play near the penalty area.
If we sign a MF, I have the impression that he would be a worker like Nocerino, not a playmaker. Our plan for CL is in 2013. We need a mid of diligent salary men to support the creative forwards: Ibra, Binho & El
