No matter. if he performs, we'll be forced to. As senile as uncle Fester is, he can't be stupid enough to believe that quality defenders grow on trees. Specially not for knock down prices like we have now.

Rami is officially a Milan player, Valencia confirmed the deal. It's a loan (don't know if we pay anything for that) with a right to buy for 7.5m. I don't rate Rami at all, but I'm satisfied with the deal, as it's low risk.

Rami didn't get any minutes against Sassuolo. I wonder if Allegri didn't think he was good enough at all, or was he saving him for more important event (aka. the Coppa Italia, apparently, Allegri says that it would be our only/most effective way to go to Europe next season :facepalm).
To be honest, I don't feel good about this transfer, so I hope that he will prove me wrong.

I mean he has been training with the team for a few months and now available for two games doesn't start.
On the one had Allegri JUST started letting Cristante play after letting so many other ineffective players before him.
On the other hand Allegri has tried pretty much every CB combination available without any success. There probably is some reason he is holding him back. I think we are all hoping it is Allegri being stupid but we did see Rami play a bit too and he wasn't that great.....

Why isn't he playing over Bonera. As you said he's been here for months. Makes zero sense.

Bonera, despite having a game like Sassuolo, which he does from time to time, is probably the only one who actually understands systems out of our CBs. I think that's the reason why for years coaches have relied on him at Milan and Nesta recently complimented him very well, despite the horror shows every so often.
Not to say I think Bonera's any good, you just have to read my posts about him over the years to see I don't rate him. I just think we're stuck with a bunch of bufoons as CBs and Adil's joined the crew.
On Rami specifically, I've always said I don't rate him at all. I honestly think the reason we got him was his imposing figure and aggressive nature, but as a defender, I see nothing better than what we have.

and to make it worse, we don't have a Buffon behind them to clean up their mess either. Only bufoon but not buffon.
