Roma has more desire and energy, even though they've played way more games than us and they just played on Thursday. But this is Allegri. So not surprising at all. The scary part is that we are not even defending well. I get playing defensively and having that philosophy. But again, we are not actually defending well. We allow way too many chances and re very very lucky to not be a couple of goals behind.
So if Allegri wants to play defensively, that's fine. But it's gotta be better than this.

They can count chances, shots, possession, xg, passes and whatever. The important thing is to score goals.
