Just look at the list of Italian players in our team: Calabria, Gabbia, Sportiello, Terracciano, Florenzi. Who would have thought that Gabbia is quietly rising to the top of all Italians in Milan?

We don't want to afford top Italian players (because - financial doom if we spend more than 5 euros), we also don't want to produce any either (because - "experience"), so we are stuck with useless mediocre ones as Xu mentioned.
This situation will repeat until either we chase off snake out of our wallet or we decide to give true chance to our youngsters.

This is the reason why there is lack of loyalty in the club not saying foriegners are disloyal but sense of 'Italianness' is needed in an Italian team which doesnt exist in Milan. Probably 2 good strong starter(not Calabria like

Loyalty is such a rare commodity these days, and honestly, while nationality helps, I don't think it is a huge factor. We have players who outright hate on us despite coming out of our own youth rank, Locatelli, Bellanova to name a few. Donnarumma, to give him credit, at least hasn't behaved like them.
And we had Giroud, Yacine Adli who seem to love Milan just as much as you and me. I believe that Giroud grew up watching Shevchenko, so that tells us to get more fans, your team's on-pitch performance and trophies talk the loudest. If we continue our crappy state any longer, soon enough we will have no fans left (other than those Milano locals).
[Of course, that's not everything either. It helped tremendous in Tonali's joining us, but in the end he also left.]
How I wish that Leao didn't injury himself before that first game of CL SF. He was our only chance with Pioli-ball. Should we miraculously reach the final, who knew what could have happened? Everything seems to go downhill since then.

In Donna case it was more of Raiola's bitching which pulled him out of San Siro. He was destined to become our own Buffon and imo he still has Milan in his heart and atleast he didnt move to Italian rivals to make things more misrable for us.
