RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Ca Rossonero - 05-20-2011 We are linked to Diego ribas for 10 mil. He's fallen out with an awful wolfburg team. Apparently, Magath told Helmes to take a free kick. Diego took it and hit cross bar (they lost the match), MAgath furious, fined him 100,000 and insulted him in media. Magath then told him he's benched so he walked out on training. Now Magath has said, anyone can have him for 10 mil. At first I was anti this move, then I thought more. He is very talented, he's been world class for periods, but last 2 years he's had awful situations. I don't think we can understand how tactically inept and bad jube was (4-3-1-2 w/ no forward creativity or midfield creativity? I mean usuall starters were sissoko, melo, marcisio...diego...iaquinta, amauri. This is not a good situation). And also how bad Wolfburg is, he's only good player. And then I think to players like van der vaart, sneijder, robinho... players who had promise but came from bad situations and people thought were 'overrated'. Why can't diego be same way? If we get Diego for 10 mil or less, and berlu's gift is someone like Fabregas (most rumored), Hamsik, Hernanes... this is not a bad market at all. Very good one infact. I still cannot believe JuBe sold this player AT A LOSS. He is a good player, he was inconsistent but there team was garbage. JuBe board is horrendously dumb. They sold him because 'he does not fit 4-4-2'. Typical, bs of them... if they kept him and didn't buy crap like martinez(wtf?), they could have a nice 4-2-3-1. Atleast then a team w/ Krasic, Diego (whoever... pepe/giovinco?) behind Quagliarella/matri and infront of MArcisio/Melo.... atleast your midfield/attack is sorted enough to fight for 4th RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - ElMago99 - 05-20-2011 *** Members who live in Italy: What are the papers, fans, television etc talking about Seedorf. It seems most on this board have wanted Seedorf gone for months if not years. Curious as to what they're saying in Italy. I'm surprised the mangement want him. He has ruined games, let alone playing bad. He's been taken off at half time, and booed off. He played a few good games and he's a Legend, an intelligent man, and an experienced leader. However, we need him out. Let Ambrosini, Nesta, Pippo, & Gattuso teach the new players of Milan traidition, and allow Allegri to find Midfielders who can actually run, and work, and who are motivated to win trophys. In short, Seedorf must go ! RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - WCmilan - 05-20-2011 I wish the mercato was already over!! this is hectic I just want to know who berlu's gift will be i dont mind for the rest of our transfers, becasue if it's fabregas i will literally be the happiest person on the face of the earth RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Ca Rossonero - 05-20-2011 (05-20-2011, 03:22 PM)ElMago99 Wrote: *** Members who live in Italy: I don't live in italy, but i have family who lives in milan who i communicate with regularly.... From what I've read this is not correct. Most of board, know how influencial Seedorf is in locker room. I mean EVERY non-italian player speaks of clarence being there best friend and one who helped them most... the dutch, the brazilians etc. Cassano said upon arriving "the three leaders are seedorf, gattuso and ibra". I think the board has wanted him to take a role like pippo for a couple years now. A squad player, who helps on occasion, provides stability, and is on MUCH lower wages. Clarence, obviously thinks he has a lot to give, and shows us at times he does. But he's not a young man. I respect Galliani finally getting tough with him, even if it pains me. Clarence and Pirlo and Gattuso was my favorite part of milan. I played midfield, to me they were perfect. To me, they still are, i'd still take that in it's prime over barca's midfield, because none of these players dive, and they play in a much tougher league. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - russo-neri - 05-20-2011 (05-20-2011, 02:35 PM)GeoTav Wrote: Strasser said today he doesn't know if Cassano will stay ... It looks like the rumours could be true ? Cassano probably wants to be in starting XI every game. That is not the case thanks to our depth. I'd like him to stay as a luxury - but if we can exchange him for a WC midfielder, I have no problems with him leaving. Cassano + a little money for Hamsik. Then we would need to find another striker. Either someone old or someone young. But he would have to be relatively inexpensive. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Ca Rossonero - 05-20-2011 What does Strasser know regarding Cassano, lol. I bet he literally answered 'i don't know' RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - GeoTav - 05-20-2011 (05-20-2011, 03:31 PM)Ca Rossonero Wrote: What does Strasser know regarding Cassano, lol. I bet he literally answered 'i don't know' Strasser is probably ridiculous ... ![]() You know, some players become friends with others in the team, and it seems it's what happened with them. After the goal of Strasser against Cagliari, I remember he made jokes about the accent of Cassano saying he makes him laugh because he never understands what he says or something like that ... The quote is: "Cassano is very happy for the Scudetto. Will he stay ? I can't tell you, I really don't know." Two ways to understand the sentence: - he doesn't know because it's not something they talked about - he doesn't know because there are doubts RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - ACMILAN1983 - 05-20-2011 Strasser did say he really doesn't know about Cassano staying. I think Cassano will leave though, purely because he's not really settled in Milan (the city) and his family moved back to Genoa. He's also a player that needs regular first team football, as he wants to take responsibility of being a leader in the national side, but this isn't something he's even close to guaranteed at Milan. We need a replacement for Pirlo and this means someone who's capable of dominating matches and controlling games, though provides greater athleticism to Pirlo to fit Allegri's system. Seedorf took up the mantle in recent matches, but is far too inconsistent to do this all season. I like Seedorf, but I also think he's going too and in all honesty I think it's the right time (if not later than it should have been). Back to my point, I suspect we'll make a big signing for this role. Galliani has said an Asamoah type player is coming in, so I wonder if our signing might be Essien, not as creative as Pirlo, but a very dominant midfielder whose capable of going forward as well as fulfilling defensive duties. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Gabriel426 - 05-20-2011 Diego for 10 mil is a steal and if he can't starts, he can be someone off the bench. As I said before, Sowdorf is being view as the ultimate backup plans for Milan if they can't get guys like Honda, Hernanes, Sandro, Cesc, Hamsik....and that's why he still has not renew. I still don't get why people want Slowdorf to renew for one year, as he really only start playing football in April. Beside, would you rather have someone like Diego or Honda off the bench than Slowdorf. I think he should take the high road and just leave. Then again, I dont think any clubs have make a real offer to him yet, as he is someone who would take it right away. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - ElMago99 - 05-20-2011 Diego should have stayed in Juventus, and they should have changed their formation. He's very talented, but unfortunately he was with a bad team this year and Juventus was in a bad state when he was there (they still are). Having said that, I don't want him to Milan unless of course, he costs like €5-7 Million. |
