I think almost all (if not all) the news about such negotiations were maked up articles to fill the pages.

Did Maldini, Massara, or Pioli speak anything concrete about the players?

I agree.

I think we definitely made an approach for Renato in January but since then it's probably been a lot of media hoopla.

A lot of us (me included) where apprehensive about Sanches to begin with since he was always injured.

Another example is that supposedly we spoke to Di Maria first but that was pretty much nowhere in the media at all.

The only one the media has right is Origi.

@NicoSchira: Paolo #Maldini and Ricky Massara have completed their renewal with #ACMilan. Contract until 2024 with option for 2025. Official announcement expected in the next hours.

Ivan Gazidis has advised the club he will be leaving when his contract expires in November due to personal reasons.

I was always lukewarm to Gazidis but hoping this isn't due to his health.

Multiple sources say Milan lead Dybala chase.

One of the most relieving posts I have read recently here.

Sad for Gazidis, hope he is doing fine.

CM players will be: Tonali, Bennacer, Pobega, Adli, Krunic. Calabria can also play there in emergency situations. Actually i trust Krunic, but behind him there are huge question marks. Maybe we will go for Fofana then? A lot cheaper and with lower salary.

Sidenote: What the hell is happening with the renewal of M/M? Since sunday every source said it was immident. You cant really trust a shitTongue

I still think if we want to be competitive, we need a better CM. that being said if the option is a CM OR a RW/CAM, then better the latter instead.

Wouldn't be a bad option and frees the money to be spent on the attacking positions we need.

I wouldn't say I was relieved, I'd still have liked it if we signed him but, given his thigh issues, he was always going to be a risk.

Assuming they were ever targets in the first place. you're forgetting that media will spin garbage to create a story without hesitation.

The guys done well for us. Arguably held us back a little from buying players but that shrewd approach has meant we're in a good financial position and look what we've been able to achieve footballing wise anyway.

Given the limited transfer budget, i hope we get him.

RE: Summer Mercato 2022 - hwmook - 06-29-2022

Renato Sanches is a player that is more suitable if we switch to a 3MF formation and not part of the current double pivot. If we keep to current formation then we need a AMC like CDK more than Sanches. We have Tonali, Bennacer, Adil, Pobega, Krunic for the 2 MF position. Getting Ziyech for RW and CDK for AMC make sense now. If we get Dybala then it mean we won't be spending money on CDK? It seem like we have a transfer budget of 0m.

Left so late to extend M+M but as long as it is done.

I  think Dybala and Ziyech will be the "low cost options" with De Ketelaere the expensive purchase.

Means Either of those 3 can play AM, CDK and Ziyech on RW and Dybala can probably go as a CF.

RE: Summer Mercato 2022 - Demonbanana - 06-29-2022

Some more linked players we have missed

Cambiaso close to Juventus. Contract until 2027/1M
(Probably will be loaned repeatedly)

Parisi is a battle between Lazio and Atalanta.

Raphinha is going to Chelsea (was more of a wet dream) same as Antony , close to Manchester United.

We really need ITALIANS to fit our quota!!

for sure.
Given the option. I'd love Dybala and Ziyech and spend the cash on Scamacca. Then as others have suggested, leave CM and get a cheap CB.
Even better if we can get CDK + Ziyech and Scamacca. and go cheap options elsewhere.

The look on his face... He's somewhere he doesn't really want to be:
