RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - ElMago99 - 05-17-2011 In the meantime, let's dream...... Plus, he will not start on the current Barcelona team. He will get playing time of course, as they will rotate, but he has a starting ACM spot in which he can control our offense in as many games as he wants playing alongside Robinho, Cassano, Ibra, Pato, Boateng, Gattuso, etc. I wonder if that's appealing to him...or if he'd just rather go home to Barcelona and call it a day. What's scary is the article says Galliani is set to have talks with Seedorf over his expiring contract. There should be no "talks" but rather a hug and a wave... Botafogo reps just met with Seedorf, and are said to have offered him a contract (milannews). I think you have to look at what they bring tactically. Robinho, ALWAYS and Zlatan, when he feels like it (my biggest problem), both are 2nd strikers. Both roam, both create a lot of space for others. Pato is our clinical striker. Look at all prince's goals though, what are they, robinho/zlatan dragging man outwide, he runs in and takes centered ball. Right now our biggest problem is no goal scoring threat in midfield, cause our forwards have enough technique and ability to hold ball uptop while they make runs. If we got Hamsik or Pastore (for ex.) they would score 12-15 goals easy just based on this.... Robinho takes ball left, centers to pato running at 1 post, and CAM running deeper at far post. And this is only outlined by fact, Robinho is completing a ridiculous 86% of his passes. Do you understand how insanely good that is for a forward in serie A? He links up w/ everyone well....The assists don't do him justice. Remember gattuso's goal v. cagliari? That was robinho. Even Seedorf's was created off a robinho run. I'm not at all worried about Robinho or Zlatan's finishing. What worries me is pato's fitness and our midfields inability to score (midfield will be addressed this year). At the end of the day, I don't expect both strikers to be 25 goal a season strikers. But when your second punta can chip in 15 and create just as many, he's done his job. Milan agree to send out its strongest team to beat Udinese in the final game, which allow Lazio to get into CL. In return, Lazio will need to sell Hernanes to Milan. I agree with you. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Ca Rossonero - 05-17-2011 Another conspiracy theory I heard. Milan lost to Palermo to stroke zamperini's ego to make the sale of pastore to milan easier

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Best-Pundit - 05-17-2011 I was just wondering, if ACM could just sign Xavi, Iniesta, Dani Alves and maybe Messi, our squad would be complete .....
RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - brasileiro - 05-17-2011 (05-17-2011, 05:17 AM)WCmilan Wrote: After a not so good performance from Lamela against Boca i still think he will out do Ganso.. First off neither him nor Ganso have proven themselves in Europe, so the only things we can really look at is raw talent, if we speak of talent between the two with the two year age difference as well where 19-21 is also a big space for improvement like how Pato put on great muscle gains, we must look at these when considering who to buy. I think neither one of them will be able to have a noteable impact when they are first brought in, regardless a season or two it will take for them to mould into the team and be more developed/get used to our and seria A's style of play. This is why I think Lamela is the better option , bring him in for cheaper so we can buy a direct starting CAM, like Honda or Hernanes, proved themselves either in world cup or Seria a in hernanes case and consistency through out is good enough to proove worthy of Milan. Ganso and Lamela we can't call more then prospects, they wont have a direct impact on milan .. Kaka was also a prospect when he joined us, but he earned a place in our starting line up and we also had other CAM options to rotate with him. This is why I think it would be smart, once they mould into the team our temporary CAM whether Hernanes/Hamsik/Honda any of those players have the versatility for a midfield role whether it be LCM/RCM/CM can be moved there after.Fair enough(but the bold part), Wcmilan. Back to the bold part... This proven themselves in Europe is the most overrated(and clueless) factor in transfer that I ever saw. By your values, you would buy Gila or Suazo over Pato, right? Mariga or Melo over Hernanes, right? And I´m just using a few Serie A to Serie A transfers to make a point... I can´t agree that transfers is an exact science, and to use the "proven in Europe" as argument is only good for European Clubs decrease the prices. Or pure prejudice... If Milan doctors find something in Gansos knees that worries them, all right. But you don´t pass on an estabilished player at Brazil and South America to buy a project. Ganso is carrying a big team in Brazil to titles for two years in a row. A few weeks back, with a Santos team depleted, he was the man of the macth in a victory away from home(against the group leader) and that only a win would kept Santos at Libertadores da America(our Champions League). By your posts, I know that you don´t rate Libertadores our Brazilian championship, but for every player you bring here, I can point an Europe to Europe flop. Hard work, character, play style and the ability "to lead a big team in Brazil or Argentine" imo are much better player traits to look for, than this proven in Europe argument. But it´s your opinion anyway... Btw, you talk about Lamela like if he will cost less than 5 millions. If thats the price, I can understand the gamble. But 10+ million isn´t banana´s money for Milan nowadays... |
