Poor Mario. I think Italy has no chance without him against Spain. It was going to be difficult especially with how they played the last few games, but now the chance is over.
BTW, off topic, but did you guys see the Abate injury? It was weird because the shoulder he landed on did not appear to be the dislocated injury. It is almost that he worked so hard to sell the foul (by Neymar? who is already annoying the $hit out of me) that he did it to himself!

I doubt that, but yes, Neymar is such a clown and really disgusts me (and many, as I heard).

Mexes today saying Mario is the best striker in Serie A. Well, he would say that, being his team mate, but he's also correct.
When Cavani was at Napoli he was #1 and Mario was second, and now the only competitor with Cavani gone is Tevez. But he's reaching the end of his career while Balo is at the start of his. Their honours also read quite similarly.
We've got a real asset here and he's only going to get better.

Best striker in Italy. Dare I say it he's creeping up to the very best in the world now. Next season is huge, but Balo has every chance of joining Falcao, Cavani, Suarez, Van Persie as the best in the future - and he's only 22. Albeit 23 in 4 days.

Still a way to go to be the best in the world. If he develops his team game and works more for his teammates, he will be simply outstanding. At the moment, I think he's an excellent individual, but with lots of room to grow.

Well Falcao took till age 27 or so before he was called the world's best, and even that is debated anyway.
I just mean Balo will be mentioned in the same breath as guys like the ones I mentioned if, as you say, he can improves aspects of his play.
That said, I don't think he's a bad team member - he is individualistic, to a degree, but he's not selfish.

I'm quite concerned about the injury, hopefully it's nothing serious.

If Balo improves his ability to work for and with the team, then he'll surpass these guys, because imo he's more talented than guys like Cavani and Falcao, but currently lacks their teamwork (Falcao's a poacher, but his team play is very impressive).
He's not selfish, but he doesn't always make himself available for the team. Sometimes he'll fail to move into areas to support teammates, or he won't always cover defensively from the front.
At 23, it's something he can develop, something I think Allegri's commented on of late anyway.
