I am happy to hear about that. Now let's hope that this winter training will help him get his form back. I am still hoping that he would pull a 2002-03 Shevchenko.

I am not particularly impressed with Pato, he has talent but his game hasn't developed much over the years. I would swap him in a heatbeat for players like Kuhn Aguero or Luis Suarez or even Chicarito, all of whom have showed consistent improvement over the years.

How funny. It's not my direct reply to your post, but after a long time I felt the need to say this: if Pato is as bad as everyone here seems to suggest (especially Hitman) why would any clubs willing to buy him for 50M? Or swap him with a proven, good striker such as Aguero/Suarez/Hernandez? It contradicts itself. Were only we Milan fan who could see that Pato is $hit?
My point is, saying Pato is very bad so he should be sold... and hoping that we should sell him for 40M or whatever big amount of money... it is contradiction. No team in the world wants to spend 40M to a $hitty player. And when there are, it means that he's NOT THAT $hitty and we should hang onto him.
If there are any of you saying Pato is overrated, then stop hoping that there will be a 40M buyer. Choose one.

Another thing I noticed from reading other team's forums, is that whenever we play them, Pato is most frequently mentioned as the "scariest" player for them.

No, thats not an interesting point. We never said Pato's bad, we know what he's capable of, so we best milk as much out of it as we can. Not every big buy in the world necessarily meant that the player being sold was not wanted by their team, sometimes they were surplus to requirements, sometimes the owners needed some immediate cash.
Anyway, I saw Pato earlier today at the beach training with the team, me and a friend went and asked him if he was leaving, he said there's no way he's leaving this January... he said its all rumors. I wanted to say some things to him but too bad my friend didn't want to translate because he likes Pato.
Robinho by far is the coolest. Always joking around, playing with everyone.... I said hello to Capello at a lounge two days ago and asked him about Pato, he said he did not develop into the player Pato Milan had wanted him to be...the 50m offer is very tempting and he said that he would take it if he was in Galliani's shoes. He also said he thinks his England team can win the Euro's. He said he would bet on Milan winning the CL this year, all they need is luck. He thinks the squad is good as it is.

Nice to hear something like that from Pato... We'll see what happens, anyway, I would say to Leo to wait until summer, then if Pato makes no progress, Galliani should sell him

The really interesting point is that Berlusconi rates Pato highly and will never sell him.
I got to know Tasotti at a private yacht club in Sardinia where he likes to spend time with his family during summers.
He is a really easy going guy and knows his thing when it comes to football. His football intelligence is what kept him at the club for so long.
Anyway, he said that Pato does outstanding things in practices and only a fool would sell him, unless it's some record fee like C.Ronaldo at 100m euro.
Tasotti also told me that Sacchi considers Pato a top 3 striker in the world. Later Mario introduced me to Silvio Berlusconi at a conference in Milano. Wow, he is really a man of power, but most importantly it became clear Pato will never get sold.
Besides Berlu being a huge fan, from the inner talk I understood that things are pretty serious between Pato and Barbara.
Finally, I talked to some dude I met on skype that claims to know Braida, and he said AC Milan will never sell Pato, mainly to piss off hitman from milanmania forums.
