RE: Summer mercato 2015 - Beppe - 07-19-2015

And why are/were we after midfielders like Kondogbia and Witsel. Wouldnt it suit us better to sign a creative midfielder, like Joao Moutinho for exemple. Who is an excellent player IMO. We have De Jong and Montolivo as defensive mids, bertolacci as left central mid.

Bacca - Luiz Adriano
Honda/Bona
Bertolacci - De Jong - Moutinho

RE: Summer mercato 2015 - Arildonardo - 07-19-2015

Rumours say we are talking to Zenit about Garay as an alternative to Romagnoli for the defence. He has a contract until 2019, so won't come cheap.

Completely agree that we need creativity and high technical lever instead of a Witsel type!

This would be a return of sorts to San Siro, as Mihajlovic spent two years playing for Inter, then acted as assistant manager to Roberto Mancini from 2006 to 2008.

He had previously been asked if he’d take on the Milan job and replied: “I’d rather starve to death. I’m an Interista.”

I don't think it's a big deal. You can take most people back 7 year's and we've probably all done the same. Look at me for instance, I'm a BMW fan and my team is sponsored by my arch enemy

Meanwhile Juventus are getting Goetze. Just when we finally had an OK mercato, they will have a great one. Bah.

We didn't have an OK mercato quiet yet...
Ibra + Romagnoli + another Midfielder.. then we'll talk.

Until then this is still a team NOT ready for Top 3.

As for Midfield... who? Montolivo + Bertolacci + ?

Perhaps we need more than a Witsel. Someone who can do more.. But we don't seem to be linked to anyone else.

That doesn't bother me. What does bother me is that my Serbian friends who played professional sports and have met Sinisa all say he has IQ of a doe doe bird.

Why does that make him a Fascist? And who cares anyways, Abbiati is a Fascist.. and the points he made regarding it makes some sense given what's going on in Italy right now. The last functional government of Italy was in 1943... since then it's all been downhill...

RE: Summer mercato 2015 - WCmilan - 07-20-2015

Numerous reports say the reason our mercato has stalled is because we are waiting on a further 100mln euros to spend that we will get from Bee when he signs in about a week. I wouldn't be surprised if Galliani already has our entire mercato in place, done all in the background and then we see 6 signings in the same day Big Grin

Apparently Gotze is open to a move, and would cost around 30m. Juventus haven't signed him, seems like baby rumours right now, but wow 30m is not bad at all for him if that's true.

I agree with elmago.. We haven't had a good mercato until we sign Ibra, one of Romagnoli or Garay if not both, and a good midfielder. I'm excited about Garay links, solid player he's a beast. Garay,Romagnoli,Ibra,Gundogan then we're talking. I'm extremely excited about the idea of signing Gundogan, he's creative but also very versatile. He could do a great job as a CAM, having been used there on multiple occasions. What really excites me is that if we sign him, we aren't only getting the creative player we've been desperately needing, but we get someone who can fill in other gaps to when needed. Mauri can apparently play every position in the mid, that's already impressive enough on its own for a player his age, so I wont express how excited I am to see more of him in game.

RE: Summer mercato 2015 - slifersd - 07-20-2015

I think we have had a good market so far. For mid July, we are already pretty far along with our rebuilding plan, and have acquired some nice pieces already. Of course, we are still about 3 or 4 top level players away from being able to compete for CL spot, but we outta be pretty happy with our progress so far. Juve, to be honest, can do whatever the hell they want. We are at least 2 amazingly great years (where everything goes our way) away from even being in their league right now. I would be more interested in seeing what teams like Lazio, Napoli, Inter, and Roma are doing. Those are our actual rivals, not Juve.
