He is different from Cassano in that he is a Milanista. His love of the jersey could help him a lot in maturing.

I could be wrong, but it seems to me that Balotelli loves Rossoneri more than Azzurri.

Balotelli's red card last night was unfortunate. The second yellow wasn't a yellow imo, it was a pretty soft gift.

So Milan players received at least two red cards yesterday (Zapata too). Neither was convincing, unfortunately.

RE: Mario "why always me" balotelli - honsano - 06-08-2013

The 2nd yellow was BS, but it speaks to the bigger picture. His unruly style continues to be noticed not just in Serie A but now internationally.

He also continues to find himself in controversy. Most recently with Usain Bolt. Seriously? Come on Balo. If he got himself to focus on his football and not the media, I honestly think he would be one of the greats in the game. Physically he is just outrageously talented.

Oh I was also pissed that he selfishly held the ball and went for a shot in the 45' rather than giving a simple pass to Monti for a goal. That game was definitely a bad one for Balo and ELS for that matter.

2nd yellow was complete BS. He might commit silly fouls sometimes in Seria A I guess, but there is no doubt that some referees treat him unfairly.

And actually, Usain Bolt said something like when he met Balotelli he wasn't very nice, all Balotelli said was he shouldn't say stuff like that if he doesn't know him well. In this instance I think Balotelli was the bigger man TBH. Also, he does focus on football and you can see the desire is there. Very unfair to say he focuses on media because it's actually the opposite. The media targets him a lot knowing he'll produce a reaction (nothing you can do about his short fuse temper), but if they left him alone that problem wouldn't necessarily be there. English media talked a lot of bull about Balotelli TBH, a lot of which I highly doubt was true.

I think a player of Balotelli's quality could be selfish given the way Italy was playing.. De Rossi,Montolivo, heck even Pirlo misplaced numerous passes aimed in Balotelli's direction when he was in good positions. I don't think Monty,Els,Balo had a good game.. But really the entire Italian NT played pretty dismal again Czech and likewise Buffon was probably our only good player making a few important saves. Besides, that game was a heck of a lot more important for Czech Republic's hopes of qualifying seeing as Italy is top of the group and pretty sure they won't move from that spot. I remember that particular play honsano mentioned, and I agree that he could have passed the ball for what could have been an easy finish for Monty.

Interesting interview by Ronaldo (Brz) on Balo. Can't find the originial but here are some quotes.

Well taken goal by Mario today! Over all a pretty fair game for him. He looked lonely up front and I didn't feel like he and the shuttlers around him (Marchisio and Giacherrini) combined well until his goal.

Monti putting in a fair match as well. Forza Italia! Forza Milan!

RE: Mario "why always me" balotelli - xudong - 06-17-2013

He scored a wonderful goal and secured the 3 points for Italy, but I was quite upset that he had to remove his shirt again and got a totally unnecessary yellow card.

When asked after the game, he said that he had no idea that he would be suspended for a match as soon as he received two yellow cards. I don't want to bet, but I have a bad feeling that he would not be able to stay clean against Japan, and then he would miss Brazil.

Just like how he had to miss Juventus in the Serie A this season. Yes, I don't blame anyone else but him. He has great talent but he has to learn about self-control and work on maturity.

RE: Mario "why always me" balotelli - Aficio - 06-25-2013

He was sent home because his injury can not be healed before the final (and there might be no final Big Grin).

The team will assemble on 8th July.

That's good for Milan. The last thing I want to see is he and Abate plays for Italy and gets worse with their injury.
