RE: 2015/2016 Player Ratings - honsano - 12-14-2015

Milan - Hellas Verona

Donnarumma 6 not a lot to do but almost got caught with the ball at his feet
Abate 5
Alex 6.5
Romagnoli 7 Looks great no matter who he plays beside. Took on the bigger Toni well which is not an easy task.
De Sciglio 6 Good defensively but little offensively. So he typically plays as well as Abate, is younger and has more upside.....so why does Abate keep starting?
Niang 5 dangerous but def appeared to sulk as he was played in midfield. I think he deserves a start over Bacca in the front two despite the South American's hefty summer price tag.
de Jong 4.5 rusty, slow, and poor positioning led to his red (though an unfair red, it was a fair PK)
Montolivo 5 no rhythm with De Jong, sat on the ball too long and many wayward passes. at this point no better than Poli but probably 10x his wages
Bonaventura 6.5 great dribbling that really opened up play, def looked tired in the second half. I'm starting to get worried this fatigue will lead to injury
Bacca 6.5
Adriano 6

Kucka 62' 6 aggressive and drove the ball forward well but technically unsound still
Bertolacci 78' 6.5 for 10 minutes of play made a meaningful contribuation. Excited to see how he'll get on the rest of the season.
Cerci 82' N/A

RE: 2015/2016 Player Ratings - WCmilan - 12-14-2015

Milan - Verona
Donnarumma 7: Almost tested a few times and clearly had them covered, had they been on net they would've been great saves.
Abate 4: He's so useless. His speed helps him recover our defensive positions on counter attacks but he's just so terrible and predictable going forward. My solution? Try him at CB lol.
Alex 6: He was okay, no major errors or anything
Romagnoli 7: Always consistent, always good.
De Sciglio 3: Terrible. He's so clueless, his passing isnt good, going forward neither. He should be sold unless we plan on converting him to a CB where I think he might do well.
Niang 6: He tried to take on his man and put dangerous balls in the box but was unsuccessful. Showed signed of fatigue later on with poor control.
de Jong 3: Missed a couple months now, came back to getting a red card and costing us two points.
Montolivo 5: Was a little clueless and rarely goes forward anymore, but he still recovers possession a lot in the midfield.
Bonaventura 6.5: Tirelessly tried to dribble into the box but his attempts on goal when he had teammates open was a little frustrating.
Bacca 5: He may have scored, but in all honesty he's always over running the ball and so sloppy with his feet. Total opposite of the type of player I saw in preseason who had clean passing feet and was strong on the dribble enough to make his own chances and take them. He almost seems timid these days.
Adriano 6: I think he deserves to be ahead of Bacca for a few match days if we decide to only play one of them. His goal/minutes played ratio is better than Baccas and hes a hard worker.

Kucka 62' 6: Despite what everyone else thinks, I like Kucka a lot. He's clean with the ball at his feet, he goes for the dribble and gets it, he pushes forward and defends tirelessly literally. For me he deserves to be in this side even if we signed superstars for our midfield, he'd always be useful even as a sub.
Bertolacci 78' 6: Tried to link up with our forwards but to no avail. I'm happy he's back though because albeit he isn't a world beater but he adds a dimension to our midfield that we dont have.
Cerci 82' N.A: Didn't have enough time but he did OK I guess. He doesn't bother me as much anymore Big Grin

RE: 2015/2016 Player Ratings - WCmilan - 12-20-2015

Frosinone - Milan

Donnarumma 7: Made a couple of really good saves, was very close to saving both of Frosinones goals when he should've had no chance given on both occasions our defence completely fell asleep.
Abate 7: Was his usual self, but scored an important goal that really motivated the team.
Alex 7: Scored a good goal, was sound defensively apart from the first goal.
Romagnoli 6.5: I think he was more responsible for the first goal than Alex, but he also made a crucial intervention in the opening minutes as well. Confidence in possession (but maybe too much) and playing around left him having to make unnecessary challenges picking up a yellow. Solid otherwise though.
De Sciglio 6: I dont know why he isnt a CB yet. He isnt doing well going forward, but relatively sound defensively. Rarely does an opponent ever catch DE Sciglio out unless he loses the ball going forward. Theres so many reasons why he would be the next big CB.
Honda 7: Assisted, did well spreading the ball out and put in a good shift.
Bertolacci 6: He got involved in the build up a lot, running around and given his free role he did well going forward. I noticed a lot of loose passes from him though.
Montolivo 7: Recovered possession frequently and did really well in the second half to keep the ball moving.
Bonaventura 9: Always dangerous, and as consistent as ever. Should've been awarded a penalty IMO after dribbling two of Frosinone defenders in the box but wasnt. Assisted Baccas goal and scored a well deserved one for himself.
Niang 6: Lost the ball too often, but his hold up play was decent and he got forward as much as he could.
Bacca 7: Scored an easy goal off Bonaventuras assists but again, I cant help but feel he could be scoring a lot more but makes the wrong decisions. He has all the qualities to take an opponent on and shoot but he normally chooses not to.

Adriano 80: Good shift, held up play well and worked hard.
Poli 90: Good assist.

RE: 2015/2016 Player Ratings - WCmilan - 05-23-2016

So, who's player of the season Big Grin

For me it's a tie between Donnarumma and Bonaventura. Other worthy mentions are Niang and Romagnoli.

RE: 2015/2016 Player Ratings - xudong - 05-23-2016

It has to be Donnarumma for me. Last season it was Diego Lopez. Goalkeeper as our best player two seasons in a row. Hmmm....
