PS : Prandelli, almost for sure, will not coach any club after the WC ... Every NT coach generally waits one year before coaching again (generally, not all).

Look, if Allegri survived the first 8 rounds and was not fired he is here to stay.
He won the scudetto in the first year. He would have won it in the second if it was not that "woodoo shit" Conte was pulling with our injuries (there is no other acceptable reason!!??
). If by some chance Allegri manages to get the third place ensuring us the CL for me he is proven quality and should stay and trust this team to him for some period.

Because right now, with what the club is starting to build from the youth teams to the first team, we should keep Allegri for at least 3-4 more years IMO if we don't want to destroy all that all of a sudden ... Also, with guys like Cristante (I'm sure we'll see him a bit involved, here and there, in 2013 and he will be added to the first team next season) or even Mastour (2-3 years to wait until we see him in first team in some games), I'd keep Allegri even more because I'm afraid that we could get a new coach who won't manage to make them do the jump in first team.
And to finish, Allegri is known to know how to deal with big egos (Ibra, Cassano, Boateng last year for example), but what is more important now, he knows how to deal with young players who seem to follow him with closed eyes (read what say ELS and De Sciglio in interviews ...).
I'll be honest, I don't understand why he isn't more highly regarded amongst Milanisti and I think that was most evident during the start of this year, when I often felt like I was the only one who wanted to keep him at the club.
Should he leave or be fired at the end of this season or next, then so be it, we just have to move on and select someone to continue the project. Thing is, should he remain for a few years more, then I think ideally by then the club will achieve it's aim to have a consistent philosophy throughout the club.
That said, while he plays a major role influencing how players are developed, I can't believe that without him we can't continue the project. There are a lot of important figures and coaches at Milan and they will continue the work. Should Allegri leave, then we just need to be careful that the next coach we select is suited to continue the work.
I don't think Allegri will go next season anyway. I think he's here until 2014, at which point we'll have to review how things are coming along.

I'm actually interested in all of these names personally. Prandelli, should he become available to coach again is someone who seems very consistent with Allegri's concepts and ideas, as well as a good coach for young players. This is proven given that Italy under him have tactically often followed Milan's system (4-3-1-2 in the past, 4-3-3 of late), while Prandelli himself has admitted he's relying on Allegri to develop the El Shaarawy - Balo partnership.
Donadoni imo is a decent coach and his track record shows it. Livorno were good under him, Italy, despite the constant criticism were quite consistent under him and only lost in euro 2008 to the winners (on penalties and we saw that the group was in decline after Lippi returned) and Parma have been excellent this year. The two other clubs he's been at (Cagliari and Napoli I think), were generally problematic times for him as there were conflicts.
Van Basten hasn't shown he's brilliant in the past, but his time with Netherlands wasn't bad, while at Ajax he struggled with all sorts of politics. He has admitted he's got to grow and learn before he is ready to join Milan, which to me means he knows he has weaknesses and will only join should he know he's ready to give something.

We were all pretty hard on Allegri, I'll include myself aswell.
Butt... I'm starting to think he's honestly a very good coach. He coached Cagliari up a level or two, and he seems to be receiving a lot of authority in our new project, so it looks like he'll stay for a while.
And, I also think that getting rid of Allegri will have some impact on our youth project. They are doing so well under him.
It's interesting that he keeps faith in a lot of players and it seems to pay off(not including Bonera). For example, many other coaches would never play Flamini again, but Allegri seems to play whoever is in the best of form as it's all he has to work with. In the start of the season, he was playing his regulars(or whatever he had left of his regulars) from the previous season because they were reliable the previous season (Boateng,Abate,Emanuelson,Robinho,Nocerino,Bonera???) and we weren't winning matches.. Right when those players roles were minimized, and more freedom,support and space was given to ELS,DS,Constant ETC. we had more hard work within the team. Fortunately, as these players were working hard for the team and showing their value (all great players/prospects already) I guess players like Boateng,Nocerino get the message that they need to play hard or sit on the bench. They underestimated the quality of our team and thought we'd go nowhere, have a miserable season and leave in the summer. Now the tone has changed, boateng went back to working his ass off and Nocerino said he'll break his back for milan. And likely so, I guess they're realizing with our fast advancing project that they were lucky to be milan players to begin with.

I was thinking the same thing right before I saw your post.
If Allegri pulls a SAF in Milan, then it means that in 18 years, Milan will go back to Serie B.

Don't know if anyone saw, but the Primavera beat Newcastle youth 2-1 yesterday (I think it was yesterday anyway), with Cristante and De Feo scoring. Must say Cristante looked really impressive in the highlights, being at the heart of the midfield and scoring a great free kick.
Another couple that impressed were Henty and Ganz, who seemed to give Newcastle nightmares despite neither scoring.
Obviously 6-7minute highlights don't mean much, but these guys stood out.

Not De Feo but Alex Pedone, a beautiful volley.
Henty was strong, fast and smart to get lose from offside trap or his marker but other his finishing, shooting accuracy was terrible. I am not impressed with his play.
Ganz is also similar with Henty, played decent, not that bad but not great either. He was good in supporting the offensive play especially when Milan were doing counterattack, playing role as a bit playmaker. And again, his striker attributes was just as bad as what Henty showed.
We could have won with more than 3 goals if both Henty and Ganz got skills of a striker.
Nordizzo was best, his reflex was really great, could stop the ball although it was kicked from a very close range to him.
Cristante, like many fans have said, looks older then his real age, it was like having a first team player for Primavera.

I wonder why De Feo did not take a part in the game. Petagna also came late.
About my rating for Henty and Ganz, maybe I was influenced by the fact that so many hyped Henty although he only made a great goal. Also I probably expect all players play like Cristante, which is so absurd.
Anyway, we will play Empoli tonight IIRC and hopefully there is stream link available tonight. Always fun to watch Primavera whether they lose or win the game since the priority for me personally to watch how they have been developing.
