RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Gabriel426 - 05-12-2011 Maybe, MIlan should just sell Ibra, Robinho, Cassano, Silva, Abbiatti, Abate and Pato all in one summer and sign the Santos duo with Rossi and Mario as well as others. Honestly, I don't get some of you as on one hand, you guys want MIlan to sign young great players while also wanting the Coach to give more time to the youngsters to develop with in. While on the other hand, you want Milan to cash in on their own young superstar/WC players the moment they struggle. Even Messi can't score every game, like the last Barcelona game, Messi did not score and his only chance came from a free kick that he did not won, does that mean Barcelona should cash in on Messi this summer due to his last game? As great as Pippo, Sheva and Kaka were when they were at their peak playing in Milan, they could not score every single game and I am pretty sure they wasted as many so call golden chances as they scored goals. This is real life football, where even the best footballer on the planet, aka Messi, can't score every single game. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Siregar - 05-12-2011 I admit that it is often frustrating watching Pato in some games but it shouldn't block our view on his age, the quality he brought since he came and the talent he has. We are in the transition period. Pato this season has been learning a lot under Allegri. He tracked back more than all sum of his games before Allegri. He learned how to be a player who serve other striker when he played with Ibrahimovic. But again, he got too many injuries inclusive this season. We have strengthened our forward department last year but not the midfield. This season hopefully we can bring two fresh creative midfielders and Pato will have a season without injuries. His goal ratio and shot on target to total shot he got is much better than other strikers we have. We can't lose a player like him while having Ibra, Robinho has has so bad ratio of shot on target ratio to the total shots. What I expect from Pato now that he proves himself in Champions League, something he hasn't done yet. And of course I do hope that he can have seasons with no injuries. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - GeoTav - 05-12-2011 It looks like Allegri wants Hamsik ... If that's true and if that happens, that would be amazing !! RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - k7r - 05-12-2011 Who all big names are brough in midfield, i just hope that doesnt lessen chances for Merkel leading to his selling RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - fLame - 05-12-2011 Have you guys seen this? I say sell the motherf*****.!

If the squad are too big, chance for young players will be lower. About Merkel, we shouldn't be too worry either about his chances especially about possible transfer of him. Merkel had chances we never expected and with 1 year older he should be more ready (not like this season he came to playing time when many players were injured). I expect Merkel will be often on the bench and get chances as substitute. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - ACMILAN1983 - 05-12-2011 (05-11-2011, 04:40 PM)Gabriel426 Wrote: Dev, I can't believe even you said that Pirlo is not needed. It's sad to say, but Allegri's Milan doesn't play a possession game with a reliance on technical players like Pirlo. The emphasis now is on a direct game with strong athletes who are disciplined tactically. If we play Pirlo, he will always be considered a weak spot in the side as he's not a player who dominates matches like the other players we have, and we saw this especially in the second half vs Palermo. That said, his first half performance was good, and his ability and passing range can still benefit the side. However, despite him being one of my favourite players in Milan and a class act, there's no point in having a player who doesn't really fit the coaches ideas, even if it is Pirlo. There's a lot of talk about Pato, and to put it bluntly, there's no way he'll be sold and it seems stupid to do so. Firstly, dating Barbara Berlusconi means he is one player who will be kept in Milan right now, probably more than any other player, as Berlusconi won't just agree to sell his potential future son in law. Secondly, statiscally he's our best goalscorer this season. In 17 Serie A starts and 6 appearances as sub he's scored 14 goals. His goal to minutes ratio is about a goal a game (just higher I believe, something like a goal every 100 minutes) and is better than pretty much every forward in the league with the exception of Di Natale. Statiscally he also has the second best goalscoring average in Europe for a player of his age. Ronaldo (the Brazilian) is top and Messi is third, so he's in a very elite group. I do agree with Hitman that it would be nice to Pato playing with the same enthusiasm that he did when he first joined, but I think we'll see that when he's back playing with consistency. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Gabriel426 - 05-12-2011 Just friendly banter. If thats bother you, then you really should see what my rugby team do to each other after each game or on tour. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Kaka1899 - 05-12-2011 there was an article i read a few weeks back about Cassano which said that when he was at Roma he used to pick a team mate who was sat in the hotels lounge/bar etc when they were playing away, he then used to get the room key and crap in their bed. don't know if he still does it to this day but if he does you can see why Ibra spends so much time beating him up
