I agree that he could have just went to Alegri and told him the same thing directly, but maybe he did also say it directly. We can't know for sure.

I am anxious waiting for the response from Allegri, Galliani, or even Berlusconi, or any further comment from Pato. and I agree with Reza.

I'm soooo warming up to the rumors of PSG signing him for a reported 45m - 50m.... too bad it's nothing but a rumor.
Imagine what we could do to our team with that 50m..... I mean for starters we could get Neymar who will be the Anti-Messi for the next few years.... and he will be (already is maybe?) the player we had hoped Pato to be.... We could even get Balotelli, same age as Pato - 10000 times the man Pato will ever be. We need players with character.
Fed up of all these fragile sensitive Huntelaar Gila Pato players ruining this sport. I don't mean fragile in style of play, but mentally. Pippo is much weaker and relatively more of a puss than they are, but he runs for every single ball and always pours his heart out, and can never be criticized for what he does......
ahh well enough of my pato hate, hopefully the time for his departure is coming closer..... i dont think he'll go in january though - we wont have enough strikers to play in the CL....

have we got all our Kaka money back? just curious, as I believe it was by installments. I remember the hardship that we went through just to get the money back from Zaragoza (did we by the way?) on the sale of Ricardo Oliveira.

Considering RM were on a spending-spree and Kaka was our star player, we got the money in one installment..
and the same for gourcuff no-one mentioned multiple installments , as I recall it was a one year loan with an option to buy for 20 Millions??
nevertheless, one would expect when you sell your best player in the squad to replace him immediately rather than wait 2 years when it's already too late...
now to the main subject: I'm against Pato's sale as he still has what it takes to be as good as Messi(personally I don't rate Messi that high, still most of you do) if not better so we'll wait and see, I'd give the rest of the season atleast

What has he done that we shouldn't rate him high? He's the best player in the World, hands down. Yes, he plays within a system that is setup for him, and he's playing with other World Class Players, but he's amazing. He and Cristiano Ronaldo both are on pace to score over 40 La Liga Goals this season.
As for Pato, he's still young, and unproven despite scoring important goals at a pretty good rate in Serie A. Our system is not good for him, and he's having injury problems. However, his injuries are muscle-related, not tendon-related, so I think they could go away with age.
In terms of selling him, if a €40M+ offer comes in, you have to certainly contemplate it, as it could help us secure Tevez, De Rossi, Ganso, or someone else we wanted, still having world class strikers with us (Ibra,Binho,Cassano). It's a super tough call either way.

I didn't say Messi was a bad player.. he's simply not "the best", I believe that Ibra, C.Ronaldo(eventhough he flips vs Barca god knows why), Totti, Del Piero, Pirlo, Sneijder, Nesta, T.Silva, etc... are simply more important to the team than him, yes he scores and dribbles(great ball control) but also yes he's failed with Argentina and yes he still has to prove himself outside of Barca and I wouldn't want to try him at Milan... I don't believe he'll fit... anyways back to pato(again):
I don't think the management will invest the money where it should, rather sign someone to fill in for him, for example Tevez(won't doubt his talent, but seriously? can anyone handle him if he doesn't play? or what if he wants to change teams??), Maxi Lopez or who ever...
Sell Pato? really? he's only 22 years old, he still has 8 years at the top(atleast), he has to improve I won't deny(actually he has to find his old-self), but why sell him and spend the money on another attacker rather than keep him and invest in a midfielder...
P.S: I'm not biased towards Pato or anything, just stating facts so don't kill me please

You really believe that all of those 50M will be back into our transfer budget? You wish. That wish is even more dreaming than hoping that Pato will be ever sold.

If the rumor about Ganso comes to be realized, our little duck can maybe get some help from the goose.
I am not happy (not at all!) how Pato handled this issue (no individual player should air dirty laundry outside of locker room), but would still like to see him stay and contribute.
And I agree with many here that believe that if we actually sold Pato, the fund will NOT be reinvested into worthy replacement. We would probably just buy some "champions" like Keita, or to pay our own "champions" on their improved contract extensions.
