I don't want Alex to sign for Milan, I'm just pointing out he's better than Luiz. Luiz is simply not a defender. I'd rather have Asotri than either of them. Vertonghan again is vastly superior. Don't know much about Dede but he has good reviews. Luiz would have a large fee, large wage and little defensive ability. I'm ok with full-backs who're great going forward and might lack something defensively, but not a centre back.

well then name 5 WC centre backs in your opinion that is still playing. I'm just curious that maybe none of any centre backs now are worthy of your recognition.

Me too, since I think those four at their prime were pretty much as tough as anyone in the game. Maybe they were not at the level of Canna, Nesta, Thuram and Maldini, but they ain't that far behind. Beside, those four never did played with another CB at their level(barring Stam in Milan), while Canna paired with Thuram and Nesta, and Nesta was with Maldini.

Helloooo dear people of the MM! Havent "seen" you for a while! What's up?? Big Grin

Tevez incoming, a great player. Stronger then Pato and Binho in my oppinion. Montolivo's agent in Dubai and I hope he'll also arrive as he can be a good rotation player. The season is long.

As I predicted, Taiwo is shit as he is tactically on the level of my chemisty knowledge, to compare... Smile ( the science I know less about )

GREAT to see Mexes and his technical football, he'll help out a lot. HORRIBLE news about Yepes...

Expecting the Lb since Serginho... SagrinOkmilan

Stay good my deal friends!

This Tevez-Gate reminds me of Luis Fabiano long really long and drawn out only for our offer to not even being considered.Still going with a free loan with a 20 million buy in June.Mancini is saying this is not possible we can't (his words ) give Carlitos away for free.

Montoloivo look's like he'll arrive in the summer mercato if reports of him turning down Juve for joining us instead are true. And I just see a Maxi transfer more likely to appease fan's , like Oliveira or Huntelaar only good about this is it isn't after a major player leaving.

Tevez clearly would improve our attacking options a fit and happy Tevez (a doubt yes) Maxi would just like Borri or any other awkward player that gets 8-10 goals every 40 games.

RE: Winter Mercato 11'/12' - Warro Bantan - 01-02-2012

Ok, so anyone heard of Yann MVilla? A defensive mifielder from Renne?

They were tough alright but perhaps what Sylrus meant with being world class was some trait/quality beyond mere physique. While they're all very good defenders, personally I think Milan as a club take pride in having legendary CBs that are, as Baresi put it about himself, "fast in the head." Nesta and Maldini never had the physique as imposing as say Campbell or Stam, Baresi and Costacurta were even worse; but goodness aren't they world class CBs. You rarely can outwit them, they seem to know what the attacker is going to do beforehand; they anticipate rather than react and this requires less energy. That's why I think they can stay on top level much longer than their EPL counterparts.

Perhaps it has someting to do with the nature of their respective leagues. EPL is more fast-paced thus well-muscled defenders are more often found there. While serie A is more tactical and slower. That's why although the EPL defenders mentioned above deserve their recognitions, personally I always prefer quick-thinking CBs like Baresi cs to Terry's type.

@ Warro M'Villa is good very talented and would be a great signing IMO.But again perhaps outside our budget , Arsenal reportedly where drawing up a £25 million bid during the summer but nothing came of it.
I'm not sure our MGT are prepared to pay 25-30 million for a young player with potential even if he most certainly will be great.
