I read many websites saying that. However, it never really made sense as Tevez is cup-tied. Pato is a very good striker. Even without improving, as long as he stays healthy he will score goals, help us play counter-attack, and be vital for us. We need him to work harder and maybe learn a thing or two from Cavani. If he gets on that level, having Tevez and Ibra alongside him, and we can possibly have the best attack in the history of football.
In other news, it seems Montolivo has snubbed Juventus because he wants to sign with us for free in June. We're also continually linked with Ganso for 20M, and also Christian Molinaro
. He's one of the World's Worst LB's, and I don't think it will happen, but it was in the news so I'll mention it.It's very possible we get Tevez and only Tevez and lose no one for this January.

The Pato rumours just won't stop regardless of what Pato, Galliani and agents are saying. The last one is we're sacrificing Pato to get Tevez in January and Balotelli in July...

Watching Chelsea vs Aston Villa rite now & I must say that those MM fans who not so long ago, wanted David Luiz SOOOOOOO desperately to become an AC Milan defender (to replace Nesta) should be ashamed of what they wished & said time and time again in the Mercato threads. He is horrible in defending in every way.

David Luiz aint living up to expectations. Alex on the other hand is a fantastic defender IMO, and chelsea wants to get rid of him... I wouldnt mind getting him.

zeekay, I would not go that far. I watched only the last 30 minutes, but Luiz impressed me (in a positive way) in the first 20 minutes that I watched. He pressed hard, defended up high, and often managed to regain the ball well out of his own box. He seems to me quite a modern type of defender. But he gets easily carried away at times, which concerns me, but I am still quite convinced that he would form a solid pair with Thiago Silva.

Obviously, Alex will never play a Chelsea game again. I wouldn't mind getting him either. Ancelotti is a big fan of him, and I remember that we were linked with him for several years.

The problem with Luiz is that he tends to let his natural abilities take his game instead of play a smart game. That's something he still needs to learn and develop.

the english never been able to develop a world class cd
i doubt luiz can develop into a wc cd in chelsea

Why r we talking about CBs? WE should be talking lbs, we have mexes who used to be one of the best cbs in italy which had the best cbs at that time. If he can regain form we have no problems there, we honestly just need a good LB, a couple of midfielders, (ganso and naingolan/montolivo) and were set and tevez
