If you're going to dream, why dream of getting Xavi? We'd be better off with someone like Iniesta who can carry the ball and beat players then create something in the final third.
Back to reality though..Nesta's contract expires this summer, no? Have the management starting speaking about renewing it yet? I don't think I've heard anything..

Milan is interested in Claudio Bravo (Real Sociedad) for second GK (5-6M worth).
Just a rumor, but we need a good 2nd GK. For me, Amelia is only good at staying between 2 goalsticks, his control over penalty area is bad.
However, I want Marchetti for this role and Abbi can be our Van der Sar.

There is no need to spend 5-6 M euros for a second GK, When we have free options like Marchetti.

Question is if he wants to be a reserve goalkeeper though? It's not easy to find a goalkeeper who'll agree to that, although at 34, some might see the chance to challenge Abbiati for the 1st place.
Also, think Amelia is a talented keeper, which is why he's been around the Italian national team at times, however, he's absolutly crazy.... Like against Tottenham when he decided to join for a corner... It definetly WASN'T Allegri's plan, cause everybody was yelling at him afterwards.

Milan now has a big problem about renewing Pirlo's contract. He earns around 5-5.5 m euros, considering he will be 32 years old next year, renewing Van Bommel or Seedorf. Because we should make room for Jucilei or same kind of player.
if Pirlo plays as LCM, he has Merkel, Emanuelson, Boateng as rivals. im okay with if we renew their contracts with low wages and small term contracts(1-2 years) otherwise, we will have same problems we had in the last year.
Boateng is a regular, as he is very important to us in midfield, then Merkel, he is the player that our midfield lacked since Seedorf got aged.
Boateng(a regular)
Merkel(as Seedorf replacement)
Gattuso( he has a longer contract)
Van Bommel (he is a wall, with his tackling ability,agressive play, he is useful but very short term solution)
Ambrosini (he will be 34 years old next season)
Flamini(he earns around 5 m euros)
Seedorf(his time is up)
--------------------Ganso/Robinho/Cassano--------------------------
----Merkel/Boateng--------?----------------Jucilei--------------------
if we sign Jucilei, we will have Flamini, Ambrosini, Gattuso, Van Bommel, Pirlo for one spot, also considering both Merkel and Boateng can play. i think that one of Boateng and Merkel should play on the left for the balance of the team.
as they are different to others.
This is why, its a bigheadache for us renewing the contracts.

About signin Xavi, well, I'll give you a better idea. Thiago Alcantara, 18 year old Spanish all-round midfielder, very similar to Xavi, and his contract expires with Barcelona this summer. Guardiola said that there's no way he's leaving but he hasn't renewed his contract yet.
About Amelia vs Tottenham, yes I saw him go up at the end... What the f was that???? It was only the 1st leg... AT HOME.... if they scored on the counter that would be TWO away goals, we would never be able to come back from that (let alone the 1 goal lead).
