An economic agreement with the player has already been found on the basis of a five-year deal, while the €22m asking price from Club Brugge has not put Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara off to the extent that with a small discount it is likely that the deal can be closed.

Lang was offered the role of central attacking midfielder behind the striker, with Brahim Diaz having struggled in the second half of the season, but the 22-year-old Dutchman can play in all three positions in the trident.

No point keeping flop Diaz, terminate the loan.

Diaz seem no different from 2 years ago, I doubt whether he got it in him to make the step up. I won't lose sleep over losing him.

Milan looking for versatile forward

Options

Berardi
Deulfeou
Zaniolo
Luis Alberto
De Ketelaere

I don't see the potential of De Ketelaere, even youtube can't convince me that he is a great talent worth 40m.

me neither, his teammate, Noa Lang is the one, IMO

RE: Summer Mercato 2022 - Beppe - 05-28-2022

De ketelaere is by far the most talented player, but less spectacular than Lang. He has got what our attackers like saelemaekers and diaz lack, he has that vision and creativity and that finall pass. I havent seen such a talent in Belgium since Kevin de bruyne, and I’ve seen a lot of him.
No wonder de ketelaere is the more expensive one of the 2. Also CDK is a very proffesional and stable personality, with great physique. Kid has got it all to become a worldclass attacking midfielder.

RE: Summer Mercato 2022 - Beppe - 05-28-2022

BTW I’m not against signing Lang, as he does have great potential. I think he’ll be signed for our right winger position and as Leao backup.

From videos of Lang it does seem he highly prefers attacking from the left or from CAM. I don’t think we would invest on a player like him to play him out of position at right wing. IMO hes being brought in to replace Diaz at CAM & we still need a RW.

RE: Summer Mercato 2022 - Beppe - 05-28-2022

MMM probably got their ideas about it , but I cant see lang as AMC, he’s more a winger kinda player. CDK could be AMC, actually he can play anywhere in attack. It would actually make sense to sign both.
Belgian media is full of linking us with lang and CDK. They seem sure both will end up at AC Milan…

RE: Summer Mercato 2022 - Beppe - 05-28-2022

BTW hauge deal is official, 15m in total + we’ve got 15% on a future sale. Great deal for us!
Hopefully paqueta gets sold this summer so we get another 10m.

I think we also got 3m from the Pessina deal, reaching 100 games for atalanta.

But GdS didn't include Lang who we're rumored to be close to signing.
Shit journalism.

Lazio have offered Alessio a 5 year contract but some distance remains.

100% shit Journalism. I don't believe anyting coming out of their mouths at the moment and neither should anyojne else.
Maldini himself has talked about the club essentially being in Limbo.... yet these muppets think we're signing, or have signed, players X, Y, Z. It's laughable. the media was never particularly honest but they're flat out lying now and people are buying into their garbage.

No offence to anyone here. don't believe any of it at the moment. Doesn't mean we can't talk about prospects, and what we think and the like. Just shouldn't be believing anythign that the Journo's say about players signed, or about to be signed.

Great deal for us IMO. he's not good enough for us and we've made a tidy profit. If eh keeps progressing and gets picked up by a better club then we can get some extra cash.

For the record. Both Lang AND De Ketelaere look like talents. from what I';ve seen, I'd rather De Keteleare though. Seems the more talented and potentially better fit for us and no behavioral question marks.

Ambition depends on how you want it. If you want to do PSG way of being sneaky spending (ignoring rules or whatever PSG is doing) then sure go ahead but be sure you can maintain it, otherwise there two ways... Inter type financial problems and/or UEFA limits and bans. If Maldini accepted the Elliott project  initially he must know that there are limits to how fast Milan can get back to the levels he and we all want.

I think it’s about realism and how a team should make the right steps in the right direction. Let’s begin with facts:

1. Milan has now a great momentum. Through the right strategy we created a great core with young players, which are the pillar for creating a really great team. Furthermore we have to note that this team overperformed and reached an insane goal such as Scudetto by having less depth, less quality and the lowest budget compared to the main contenders. That means that we have great financial advantages (CL funds, merchandising and better sponsorship deals, season tickets etc.)and the pole position heading to next season (group 1 in the CL seed with better circumstances for qualification, great psychological advantage)

2. The current squad will have 2 departures of first team players: Kessie and Romagnoli. Do not forget the absence of Ibrahimovic for at least 7 months

Considering the above mentioned I think Maldini makes a very good approach, indicating that now is the right moment to invest in order to defend the title and make the next step in terms of CL. Because in terms of austerity it would be impossible to defend the title and/or improving our course compared to other CL teams.

Finally it’s a matter of strategic approach. If you want to remain the current level, achieved by our overperformace last season, we have to close the gaps by players departing, to improve the squad in the positions we all have noted (RW, AMC, SC, DC) and to raise funds for salaries (players have a significant value raise through this overperformance and the Scudetto)
