RE: Winter Mercato 11'/12' - LuckyLuciano - 12-26-2011

Aswell as the left back continues to be uncertain. We do not lack in midfielders, at least not defensive ones. We have several players that can play on a high level in either of the three midfielder roles, but we don't have any clear trequartista. Without Kaka and Pirlo, the two clear roles of regista and trequartista are not set. These are the heart of the hole construction of the 4-3-1-2, and right now i feel Seedorf is the only one that is capable of playing the regista role. Robinho might play trequartista, but is no replacement of Kaka.

There are several things that should be fixed, but right now we don't have the finances to do it. With the FFP in mind, I believe Galliani rush out for scoops, or he sits still. Tevez is a scoop, because he has everything Pato and Cassano don't have.

I hope we sign Carlitos asap before Cassano gets better, because when he does the management will say Cassano recovered and we are good as we are - which is not the case.

Currently our best strikers in order are Ibra, Cassano, Robinho, Pato.

So, I hope your insistence on buying Tevez also means selling one of our other strikers.

Then it will make sense. De Rossi & Merkel back are essential for me and more important than Tevez.

I think so too, which is why I have been a bit upset when Roma has recently played quite well, even though I know clearlky that it is a long shot. Smile

Considering De Rossi twitted a fortnight ago that Rome is the most beautiful city in the world and that he never wants to leave a such prestigious club demonstrates that champions league football isn't the only factor affecting his decision-making process, if i was to speculate at de rossi motives i would suggest he is chasing a better bargaining position in order to have a more lucrative contract. As for holding out for champions league football maybe but considering that Roma have missed out on champions league football twice in the last four years i have thought he would have left already if that was such a huge factor for de rossi. Besides i would think that de rossi would be jumped upon by manchester united or real madrid if there was a hint of him leaving roma.

In regards to another italian i find it curious that milan news it are still linking angelo ogbonna in a mid-season deal to milan considering torino objectives this season.

I mean, each person has his own limits.. and De Rossi is at a reasonable age to make his move. If he wants to be considered amongst the greats, he has Totti as a prime example of what could happen to him if he choses to stick with Roma forever - no international recognition. I personally do think De Rossi is buying time with all his tweets, and if he truly did love Roma so much he wouldn't have put them in a position as he already has them in right now, trying to offer him more money for him to stay. If it isn't about the ambition, then it's about the money. No matter how you put it, what De Rossi is doing to Roma right now is something Maldini would have never done to us - just saying.

I actually expect him to join Milan next summer, thats my hunch.

And regarding Tevez, he is better than all of our strikers except Ibra. Yes we do have 4 great strikers right now, better than anyone else, but still with Tevez here there is even more room for improvement. With Carlitos we can have two strikers capable of changing the game at any minute, and hopefully our Ibra-dependence will drop and it will allow us to play with a different style of football having the combination of Tevez - Robinho/Pato up front.

Ofcourse the trequartista position is the one we need to improve the most, along with the DM position, and even more midfielders are needed...however players like Tevez at such situations are not available at such bargain prices every year, we must pounce on these chances while we can. Improving the offense doesn't necessarily mean we are neglecting the midfield you know.

Tevez is ours to lose right now,we have been linked to many DMs,montolivo,de rossi, keita, nainggolan recently.I believe few of them will definitely come.

The only rumor linked us on LB is maxwell,I presume MGM still has faith in taiwo.

Good point on Totti, and indeed Roma is probably not the team that would help De Rossi win something really big, or even something at all, so he probably would want to leave considering that he is 28. With that logic, it would seem that it is almost certain that De Rossi would leave Roma. However, one should keep in mind that players won't necessarily "learn lessons" as expected. For example, our very own Shevchenko left Milan and failed miserably; one would expect that Kaka would not repeat Shevchenko's mistake, not to forget Kaka is a very intelligent player and person in general. Well...

I am not saying that staying in Roma is a mistake for De Rossi (well, for us, it is. Big Grin), but I wouldn't bet all my money on him leaving for us. Hopefully Galliani can pull his magic though. Wink As our management said, the next season is going to be the "big one" for CL, so with players like Tevez and De Rossi, we may have a good shot.

The midfield on the other hand needs reconstruction.

Balotelli, Aguero, Dzeko... Tevez and Adebayor if you count them.

RE: Winter Mercato 11'/12' - ACMILAN1983 - 12-27-2011

It seems as though Ibra's playing a part in the Keita deal. Not sure if there's any truth in this though. Personally, I like Keita but I don't see him being a player to dominate in front of our backline, not in the way Van Bommel and Ambro have in the past.

More importantly, while Braida's negotiating with Man City, Galliani's in Brazil. I'm convinced there must be something going on there, as normally we'd have Galliani talking to City and Braida flying out.

GianCarlo wasn't an idiot, I'm pretty sure he was intelligent and actually had some good points to make. That said, he never exactly covered himself in glory when he was here before, acting rudely and brashly towards members who disagreed with him and prolonging personal arguments rather than letting things go and moving on.

He kind of reminds me of the kind of stubborn and petulant nerd you would meet at school who would get bullied, but then do something to irritate his bullies and result in only getting more abuse (i.e. often brings it on himself).

RE: Winter Mercato 11'/12' - Gabriel426 - 12-27-2011

GianCarlo and some others just want attentions thats all.

As for Tevez is Milan to lose, I don't know on this one. I mean, if Milan offers something like 5 mil with an option to buy for 10mil, I really doubt City would go for that. Personally, I think both City and Tevez are using PSG as leverage to get a better deal from Milan, which is a smart thing to do. The fact that Cassano is out for the season and Robinho is struggling is not making thing easy for Milan.

As for De Rossi, as much as I love seeing him wear the No.4 for Milan. I think if he is to leave Roma, he will probably go to EPL or Spain. Honestly, I think he has too much love for Roma to move to another team in Italy unless Milan pays way over the top value for him, like Merkel plus 50mil cash or something.
