RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Ca Rossonero - 05-05-2011

Why will KAgawa be sold cheap? I like him but Borussia will be in ucl and he's been big for them until his injury....

I like Honda for his versatility. There are just few players who can play THAT many roles. Striker, Winger, CAM, CM, and DM? He's played all in last year

I figured they'd want to add to there squad, not sell. If they did sell the player we'd want and have been passively linked to is Sahin. He is like seedorf and pirlo, like hernanes.

Borussia fans consider Sahin there best player. If you saw Borussia v Bayern, he got the best of schweinstagger. Thought it's been rumored he's agreed with Madrid already.

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Gabriel426 - 05-05-2011

Sahin is pretty much set for Real, at least that's what the reports are saying.

As for Kagawa, he has not been playing since the start of the second half of the season, and when I meant cheap, it means he will be cheaper than his winter price tag (20mil) in Jan.

But on second thought, Milan won't sign both of them even if they are available b/c they are both non-EU.
Its funny how people reacts to Milan rumors now.
Last year today, if Essien or Ronaldo is being link to Milan, everyone will think it is a joke and no one will even response to that. While look at it now, literally once a rumor surface, the parties involve will reply to the rumors right away. Its just shows that the interests are actually there.

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Ca Rossonero - 05-05-2011

On the EU topic. Any word on whether they'll expand it back to 2?

What I do know is Tawio has is about to receive a french passport. Ganso supposedly has an italian one (no confirmation), Lamela definitely has one.

So it's not impossible to think we could get Honda or Kagawa or Hulk (who seems to be linked ALOT recently), but not both.

It is rumored a max of 15 mil for Honda, maybe even less, so he's a possibility and would be an excellent signing

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Gabriel426 - 05-05-2011

Personally, I think this EU/non EU rule is stupid.
I know Taiwo will be getting a French passport this summer.
Not sure about Ganso, as I think he does not have an Italian one.

15M for Honda is a steal, as Milan can probably make all that back in one year of selling his jersey in South East Asia.

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - will4li - 05-05-2011

This barca is among the greatest ever if not the best, but it's not impossible to beat them.

we need a tight backcourt and midfield, plus robben and pato, plus dicipline and intensity( lots of it).

taiwo, mexes, ganso, lazarri(anyone of essien, hernanes and hamsik will be dream),robben;5 highly pssible signing will equip us to be good enough to dethrone barca next season.

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Gabriel426 - 05-05-2011

I think in order to beat Barcelona, the following must happen:
1. Barcelona is not playing at their level, ie: having a bad game
2. The team playing them is playing a perfect game
3. Refs are favoring the opposing team instead of Barcelona.

I am not saying they are unbeatable, but are pretty close to that. The only weakness I see them are their LB and the aging Pugol. If you actually watch how JM played Barcelona this season, I honestly cannot think of any team that could play better defense then Real against Barcelona this year, and yet they still loses the big ones.

Messi is a level above any other footballer in this planet as this moment, while Villa is one of the top strikers, Xavi and Iniesta are the best midfield duo in the game, D. Alves is the best RB period, while Pique and Pugol are top 3 CB duos at this moment. Then Pedro, Sergio, Mas, Abidal, Valdez, and Allfey are no push over.

I really wish ManU can beat them, but Messi is like MJ, he always play at a different level when the whole world is watching.

I was against Boatend purchase and I´m glad he proves me wrong as a good contributor. But can´t agree with where Allegri put him(AMD, seriously?) and Spurs game showed it. Imo people are set themselves for a huge deception if they think we can do anything with him at AMD...

Thats one of the few things that makes me angry towards Allegri managment...

I remember you and I discussed about Boateng's signing as I was for it thinking he would provide good depth in the squad (I'm surprised at how good he's been).

About using him in midfield and not AMD, he's still tactically not disciplined enough to play in midfield, hence he's used higer up the pitch. However, I did read an article somewhere in the last couple of months that Allegri plans to work with him over summer to improve this area of his game and help him take the next step towards becoming a star player. As seen in the second leg against Spurs, some work has already been done as he was more disciplined in that game than earlier on this season, so seeing him next season in midfield seems much more likely if this is true.

Off topic but there wasn't anywhere else to specifically put this. On acmilan.com they've released an article about our defensive record in the second half of the season. Apparently we've only conceded 6 goals in 16 matches (pretty much 1 every 3 matches), which is a superb accomplishment. The last time Serie A had a team with such a solid backline was during Capello's era back in 1993.

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - abbeyleemania - 05-05-2011

it seems We got Mexes and Taiwo... even Laudisa confirmed it...Taiwo 3 years and 2 m euros wages...if im not mistaken... Good bussiness...Mexes didnt convince me and considering his injury. i'd add one more CB, Astori...Then lets sell useless options and make money from them...Oddo is not needed... Bonera not needed. Papa is wanted by Genoa and Werder Bremen...Onyewu is not needed. Jankulovski will leave...Didac Vila on way to Werder Bremen or others...
Our starters for FB will be Abate and Taiwo. Their subs will be Zambrotta, Emanuelson and Antonini... Thats enough. There is no need to make wages higher...

We wont spend much on half on Astori, while we can make good money from saved wages and from the likes of Bonera and Papa...

After all, Defensive line will be set for next season...

Regarding midfield, we all wonder what will happen next season... Lazzari is good player but he s not someone for starting line up... Lazzari co-ownership is good decision for bench especially after we move Emaneulson to Left full back position more... in any case, we need a player like Hernanes for first 11, who can increase quality cuz we need it for CL success...Pirlo should go...32 years old and 6 m euros wages and long term contract... Ambro should go but like i said before, Nobody wants him... so he hast to stay...he wants to stay... Seedorf should stay one more year...

Honda? im an admirer of him...he would be useful addition as he can play in midfield trio... CSKA asks for 15 m euros for him...

Robben? no...i dont want Robben... Great player, match winner but he ruined Bayern's season with his injury...

We linked with Lucho Gonzalez as vice Pirlo yesterday... i remember that Braida said that we are monitoring a midfielder who plays in France...Everyone talked about M'vila and Hazard at that time...

Ganso, Nainngolan(i rate him much and great potential makes him better signing than Lazzari for me), world class creative 2 way midfielder, Taiwo, Mexes, Astori makes a perfect mercato for me...

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Gabriel426 - 05-05-2011

To me the second half of the season was only okay. Mainly b/c Milan got kicked out by Spurs in CL while also not scoring any goals against Spurs in both legs and the four games Milan played in March.

Beside that, I am pretty happy for the team.

I doubt that Boateng will be becoming star player. He has been doing well this season but honestly he has limitation in some areas especially for playing as the one behind two strikers.

About defensive record, we have to admit we have now reliable players on right fullback (Abate), CBs (Nesta and Silva), GK (Abbiati) and vice CB (Yepes). These players are the most important thing in giving such records. Other important poin is decent left fullback (Zambrotta), a unit-system play and Van Bommel who cut the ball from the opponent often before it went to the defenders (the existent of reliable DM like Bommel).
