Pioli should focus integrating Hauge rather than Diaz. Diaz is still Madrid player, even if he had good season, we can't be guaranteed what Madrid will do. Remember what happened with Dortmund and Hakimi. Dortmund were unable to pay 40M price for him. Start giving Hauge more playing time. I have no grudge against Diaz whatsoever.

Not sure why this has anything to do with what I said.

Ibrahimovic, while here, 39 or 40, will be looked as the starter and WILL be a starter. So no, I don't want to spend 40-50mil on Belotti (who btw I don't think is anything more then good....definitely not world class). Imo, at this point, thinking of the future would be integrating Leao as a CF. If that doesn't work out, in the summer, we can think about a long term Ibra replacement. But right now, to commit 45-50 towards Belotti wouldn't be the best, imo.

I've made it known that I really wanna see Hauge get more minutes and essentially be a starter. So we agree there. I think there is room for both Diaz and Hauge. Of course, Hauge should be a priority since he's our player. Having said that, we need the best players on the field. Milan needs success. If Diaz is the better option and is more capable of helping us, then he should play. This is not a Diaz vs Hauge thing, btw. I'm speaking in general. Diaz is here now. So if he can help us get points and get in the CL or win the title, then we play him. If that's with both Diaz and Hauge on the field at the same time, great. If it's one or the other, fine.

My post was all about the fact that priorities will change. I would NOT sign Draxler now (for free next summer) until the Diaz situation is resolved. Diaz has proven to be good so far. No need for Draxler (right now). Again....priorities will change.

It's a little pointless to talk about the market now. I know we're just discussing as fans...but as I said...90% of us would have sold and replaced Kessie last October. How things have changed and how wrong we were....

Belotti - Should only be considered end of season and I question whether he's the right choice... I'd take him over Icardi though... without question.

Haurge - He'll get game time but I think Rebic is still our clear starter for LW... once fit.

Draxler - I'd take him... IF we can't keep Diaz here permanently or if Hakan continues to play hardball over his contract. A payrise is fair but he's not worth anywhere near what he wants.

I would have sold Hakan and Kessie. I'm happy that I was wrong about Kessie but I don';t think I'm wrpng about Hakan. His top form seems to have dropped right off. He's not as ineffective as he was pre covid but he's far from his post covid form. I'd offer him a figure and leave it at that. Take it or leave it. No use forcing someone to stay who doesn't seem to want to. I'd personally be looking at selling him in Jan if he doesn't sign or end of season if he does. Spend the money to keep Diaz permanently and get Draxler

Belotti is definitely not worth splashing out the money for. He is nothing more than a good striker. He is scoring below the expected goals from statistics meaning he is missing goals that he should have put away while not being able to score those half chances. He is definitely not the kind of striker that you want to bank on. 35m is probably the max we should pay for him.

Icardi is too destructive for a team like us that have been described as family by the players. I rather put Leao as the striker after Ibra.

Hakan drop off in form? He was carrying the team through the europa qualifying and just recently has a goal and assist for Turkey. He is still playing at a very good level. I would be happy to have him in the team.

Average against Inter, Average against Rio Ave, was ok against Crotone.
You can't tell me he's been performing the same as end of last season. Plus there's the issue that he's riding his burst of form post covid to get about 2m a season more than he's worth. IF he want's to stay for 4m. maybe 4.5m then sure. Anything more than that and he can go. Bring in someone else.
Diaz is already showing glimpses of talent that he may be able to take over fine from Hakan.

RE: Winter mercato 2021 - reza - 10-26-2020

Getting Diaz is still far from possible, Maldini can probably do it but his cost will be high and his total salary is not cheap either. A grown Diaz and someone like Fekir is ok. We should hope we don't need to face that though. A CD, a RW and a possible Ibra replacement are higher on the 'immediate needs' not to mention what happens with LB next year.

I get that. I'm more looking from the perspective that Hakan is forcing our hand. Trying to hold us to ransom so he can get some more $$. I'd rather go out and get someone else than overpay. We get stuck with a 6m contract and what happens if he doesn't return to post Covid form? Who would pay him that money? China?

RE: Winter mercato 2021 - Artan - 10-26-2020

If Maldini is smart he should get rid of Hakan in case he doesnt lower his demands. At times befire covid, he didnt even merit the salary he is getting actually. If he went elsewhere he wouldnt get a penny more.
