Morata wants Milan. Wages a problem but deal with Chelsea shouldn't be a problem

RE: Summer transfer window 2018 - Jay Crisp - 06-11-2018

Hmmmmm

Sporting CP trio Bruno Fernandes, William Carvalho and Gelson Martins are to become free agents after suing to terminate their contracts.

Bruno Fernandes is doing great , 56 games this season 16 goals 20 assists from midfield.Carvalho too.Martins 11 goals 9 assists from the wing this season. In all fairness though they'll have lots and lots of better suiters.

Porcho , any chance ? & would they be Dynamos or Andre Silvas  Sagrin

I highly doubt those Sporting players can leave for free before their legal process is completed. I also think Sporting is going to fight tooth and nails to not allow this to happen. I wouldn't be surprised if this thing takes a few months to complete, actually, considering how lone legal litigation typically takes.

Morata doesn't impress me, and I'm really not sure why people can get excited about him over Belotti because both of them had crap seasons. I understand that most people are under the impression that Belotti had a terrible season, but Morata only scored one more goal and 2-3 assists more than him this season. I'm not trying to say Belotti is a better signing, but neither of them have been impressive lately. I also understand we aren't in a position to attract the top names in the world, but I thought someone with more experience might be a better option for our striker role.

If we bring Morata to replace Andre Silva it would be a step in the right direction, but if it's supposed to be a redo of that 'star striker' we looked for last summer, then we're just making another mistake.

Investing the money in the midfield & on the wings is more important, if we can nail that down then an experienced player like Falcao will do wonders, Cutrone will probably excel as well. In reality I'm fine bringing in Falcao if it meant that we could spend the money on a couple top class mids and get a top notch left winger.. possibly even right winger if Suso decides to leave.

RE: Summer transfer window 2018 - porcho - 06-12-2018

What's so special about a Falcao Depay forward two... Falcao, who was a huge flop in the EPL. Who has recently only found top form in France. And Depay who was also a flop in EPL and has only had one good season in France.
Not to say that they would fail. I've always been a Falcao fan and wanted him at the club years ago. But, currently, they're hardly guarantees. One involves sending away a bright prospect for a 32 year old, and the other involves us spending 40m on a player we hope does well.
And if we're moving to 2 up front, who out of Bacca/Kalinic is staying then? Can't be playing two up front and only have 3 strikers.

Please no Callejon or Morata. Definitely don't want those two.
Badelj would be a huge upgrade on Montolivo but, then again, who wouldn't be.

Jay Crisp. MAssively complicated situation. What I will say is this will eventually end with the President leaving the club. It has to. There's now 5 players who want to rescind their contract with Bas Dost's official letter to follow..
LEgally though(independant lawyers opinions not mine) they have no case so ultimately if the president chooses to go down the hard ass path then they'll lose in court. In the mean time the season would have started and we wiuld have had to replace at least those 6 players... there's 2 more days for more players to rescind.
What needs to happen is more players send in the letter and for them all to say that they'll take it back if the President leaves. That's the ultimate aim that they want but they're pussyfooting around the situation. They need to grow some ball and say "it's him or us."

But to answer your question... Whoever gets any of those three won't be disappointed. William Carvalho is an excellent CDM and would fit here nicely. Gelson is a quick, skillful, versatile RW. and Bruno Fernandes is 10x the player that he was just 12 months ago when he was purchased from Sampdoria

Mirabelli to Mediaset: “André Silva-Falcao swap? It seems unlikely. The Colombian is a great player but is in the final period of his career while ours is young, we must give him time to adapt to Serie A.”
