RE: Summer mercato 2024 - Arildonardo - 09-11-2024 (09-10-2024, 06:10 PM)Inas Wrote: "Bad" as we are with youth players, I don't think we've lost/missed any superstar youngster. That's the truth. It might be the truth, but it's impossible to know how certain players would have developed if they were not mismanaged at our club. But using examples mentioned in this discussion like Darmian, Brescianini, Cristante, Maldini, Locatelli, Bellanova and even Cutrone and more: Think about how much money we've spent on useless fodder to replace players like this? If we had kept (at least some of) these players even as backups or rotation players we could have used all that money on a few real star players that would actually improve us instead of signing 50 players of equal or even less quality. But as I've said before, we tend to prefer quantity over quality when it comes to signings. RE: Summer mercato 2024 - Sampinjon - 09-11-2024 It is not the truth. The truth is that we don't know what we missed. Players which are often mentioned as "proof", because they did not made extraordinary career elsewhere - nonsense . We don't know, because they missed crucial phase in their development. We can't (and never will) know what could became of them if they were developed properly. Of those who have some talent, of course. Or anyone actually believes that, for example Dollarumma, would be same player if he spent 2-3 years more in primavera, maybe snatched one or two useless loans and THAN introduced to first team football? He'd be no more than another Plizzari. And people would talk about him - we didn't missed anything because he's just average... Going by this, we should then keep all youth players with any semblance of promise, regardless of their readiness to make the jump. Because, aside Locatelli and Cristante, these guys we always make reference to (Bellanova, Brescianini etc) were not anything when they left. Cristante and Locatelli we all know the circumstances surrounding their sales. They asked to leave. I don't think these things are as clear cut as we may think. RE: Summer mercato 2024 - Zio Fester - 09-11-2024 Corriere reports that Milan and Inter have decided that they will build a new stadium together despite the previously declared plans to build separately. What is pushing the two clubs to remain in cohabitation is mainly a question of costs. The two clubs have been making a business plan for a long time and the data suggests that the cost to build a new stadium each would be over €1bn, while the revenues to recover the expense are too low to quickly recoup it. Broke Gerry is more poor than we imagined. Having to repay the vendor loan to Elliott, finance the stadium and pay for 2 coaches is too much for poor Gerry. RE: Summer mercato 2024 - Beppe - 09-11-2024 Reijnders shining as attacking mid for the Netherlands. He’s probably the best player for us we can play as AMC. Fofana will play in midfield, we need a proper DM next to him, but we havent got one. Can someone remind me why this management hasnt signed a real DM? Amateurs RE: Summer mercato 2024 - Bennacer - 09-11-2024 Fonseca should be fired at half time agaunst Venezia if he dont deploy Reijnders in the ACM position or as an advanced midfielder with offensive freedom in a 4-3-3. RE: Summer mercato 2024 - Santino - 09-11-2024 We are very thin at CM, Reijnders, Fofana, Musah are international, will play a lot of games, and RLC is shit. Maybe that Vos, Liberali and Zeroli will get some time on the field. The worst fears regarding Ismael Bennacer were confirmed today as a scan showed that he has suffered a complete tear of his calf muscle, and he could miss four months. So...he is done. RE: Summer mercato 2024 - Zio Fester - 09-11-2024 The son of former Milan coach Stefano Pioli are among the graduates from the latest UEFA A coaching license. Gianmarco Pioli finished the final exam with the highest possible score of 110 out of 110. He already has experience with Milan as a video analyst during his father’s tenure. Potential future coach?.. We all know how that ended [emoji1] RE: Summer mercato 2024 - Zio Fester - 09-12-2024 Franco Ordine in his editorial on MilanNews suggests that the reason why Milan might be open to share the new stadium with Inter is because Cardinale is having problems finding investors for it and Oaktree would take care of the problem. Gerry also has to repay Elliott's loan and probably feels overwhelmed with the all these debts. On another issue he criticized Ibra for his absence at a critical time when players need support from above, Fonseca feels isolated, and Ibra has too many other interests besides Milan. Praised Maldini and Massara who spent every day at Milanello interacting with players and coaching staff. |
