RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Ca Rossonero - 04-28-2011

i don't think xavi is overrated persay. He's world class. But this idea he's on a different planet than pirlo is a joke.

Seedorf is a smart player man. I love his game. But you're right, his body is declining, he's not versatile like he used to be, but in certain roles, he can be useful.

point being until we properly replace them with a real technical passer. We need one of two on pitch at all times.

I do admit xavi is great player but how his fans and other fans said about him is way overrated.

Seedorf could play for Milan as sub but I am afraid he will be chosen for starter in many games since he has advantages like leadership, experience, etc. but his age will cost us a lot. I agree that one of them should be on the pitch.

My wish for summer mercato are: Ganso and a creative CM who can defend (even not as well as strong DM). Bonus is a strong quality left fullback.

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Gabriel426 - 04-28-2011

Seedorf is in good form but that mainly due to he has no place to play next year as of now, since he is out of contract. Re-signing him is a step backward in my opinion even for a sub role. Esp if Ganso is sign, as he along with Boateng will be play in 2 of the 4 midfield spots. The other two will probably be Gattuso and MVB.
Pirlo is either way for me, as I am sure if he is gone, Milan will replace him with someone who is ready and have the quality get into one of the four midfield spots in Milan.
Personally, I would replace both of them with Hernanes and have a starting 4 with Gattuso, Hernanes, Boateng and Ganso or MVB, Hernanes, Boateng and Ganso depending on opponents. Then you still have MVB/Gattuso, Ambro, Urby, Merkel and Struasser off the bench.

Xavi is a great player as he does a lot in midfield, like holding onto the ball, passing, defensive duties....but I think the fact that he is playing on both great teams help him get more credits than he deserves. Kind of like Becks back in ManU.

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Siregar - 04-28-2011

I don't think Milan will release Pirlo except he demands high wage. He was in form and really the man behind the play of Allegri's tactic as left-CM. He is not young but still not too old like Seedorf. Milan will lose so much value if Milan do release him free.
Quick ask, will Inter sell Diego Milito for a normal price to Milan?

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - abbeyleemania - 04-28-2011

it seems our defence will be like this next season, Abate, Silva, Nesta, Mexes, Probably Astori and Taiwo...

Ganso looks unlikely in this case, Santos asks for much more money and however i dont see us spending more than 20-25 m euros for him. Hope we can sign Lucas Marcelinho instead waiting 1 more year on Ganso...he is low cost compared to Ganso...

Dortmund could sign ilkay gundogan as Nuri Sahin replacement, so he will be on the market, Real or inter will sign him if you ask me...

Taiwo free, Others are low cost. if we sign Taiwo for LFB, i hope we can make a good invesment for midfield trio...
if Nuri Sahin was better defensively, i wouldnt hesitate to sign him...

İnvestment for midfield trio is really needed.

For midfield, we are interested in Kucka, which is confirmed by Genoa president. Both inter and us wants him...i talked about him before here... i liked him from our genoa game...2 way midfielder and a lot of rooms for improvement...Good feet, pressing, shooting and passing... Skilled...

We can make good money from Borriello, Bonera, Papa(Genoa wants him back)...Then we can sign a quality 2 way midfielder with that money...

Boateng for LCM? i have questions over it cuz Boateng doesnt have the dynamism to play there... a world class player who can play both in CM and LCM...

i think that Loaning Acquafresca from Genoa would be nice solution for vice ibra problem...

Milan wont pay 6 m euros or this kind of sums to Pirlo anymore...Low cost, small term contracts while Teams like Juventus can offer him much better salary and long term contracts... Seedorf is wanted by Galatasaray and Corintiras, City... Nobody wants Ambrosini, except from Chealse and however i dont see them signing him...So Ambrosini can stay...

Xavi is great player, much better player than Pirlo...He is really skilled, more complete than Pirlo...he fights, he runs, defence, moves a lot...vision, he drives with the ball much...i rate him better player than Pirlo...

One of the Italian papers suggest we've got Ganso but he won't arrive until January 2012?!

At this moment, i don't believe we'll invest heavily at all this summer. I'm not convinced Taiwo or Mexes are what we need even though they're free.

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Kastriot - 04-28-2011

-----------Abbiati--------------
Abate--Nesta--Tiago--Taiwo
Boateng-MVbomel-Hernanes
-----------Ganso---------------
---------Ibra---Pato-----------

This is a closed process of rebuilding a squad. Only Nesta is left in the first 11 from the glory days.

-----------Amelia------------
Oddo--Mexes--Yepes--NIni
Gattuso---Ambrosini--Pirlo-
-----------Robinho------------
------Cassano--Pipo----------

Subs: Bonera,Zambrota,Merkel,Flamini, Straser, Berreta.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
In my opinion, this is what we should aim next year. This team has, depth, youth, experience, pace, dynamism. With a bit of luck we can challenge for the CL, cuz honestly I don`t see any team challenging this outfit for the scudetto (maybe the new Roma,Inter will probably undergo a huge rebuilding).
Boateng will have to adjust more to a box-to-box midfielder.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I believe this is doable with an investment which should not surpass a figure of 60 mil. 60 mil is not easy to swallow but if the new rule kicks in in 2012 we will have to make that investment now,and I think we will be st for the next 3 year with minor investment each year.

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Dha Brain - 04-28-2011

thats ridiculous , we should retain kpb and mvb now 25 mill fo ganso ? he blew out his knee good christ ? , with 25 mill we can get montolivo & poli and still have run for merkel to enter the squad , only way i'd give a incredible amount to santos is for neymar at 40 - 45 million and thats if we don't keep ibra , other players i recommond is , carlinho's from o tri color ( fluminense ) now try to broker a deal for astori & if we're real ambitious let's ask juve about giorgio whose easily as good as pique or puyol and he plays for a crap club ,

so Montolivo , Poli , Astori , Neymar ( IF WE DONT KEEP IBRA ONLY ) , Carlinhos , Chellini , what about the twins at man united ? , we got money so it doesnt matter now ,

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - WCmilan - 04-28-2011

milan will definitely invest this summer i think we'll be in for big suprises but we have to wait and see

RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Gabriel426 - 04-28-2011

I will be pretty happy with Hernanes, Ganso, Taiwo, Mexes, and Astori. While wave goodbye to Oddo, Janku, Dilac, Bonera, Flamini, Legro, Papa, Antonini, Pirlo, and Seedorf.

Ofcourse, I would be thrill, if Sandro and Klose are also added to the mix.

Abbiatti
Abate-Nesta-Silva-Taiwo
Hernanes-MVB-Boateng
Ganso
Ibra-Pato
Bench: Robinho, Cassano, Mexes, Ambro, Gattuso, Astori, Zambro, Yepes, Urby, Pippo, Merkel, Strausser and a GK

That's a dynasty in Serie A while with some luck a winning CL team too.
