Brand taking a hit is a given at this point, just look at our records. Think about it, who would prefer to be on a losing team every year? It's not a big deal though, since we basically attract players with two things, inflated wage bills and laid back environment. Every player we signed in recent years has been given above market wage rates, despite the fact that we are supposed to be in some kind of financial crisis. And no team offers a more relaxing environment than we do. There is absolutely zero accountability on this team. You can slack off during training, walk your way through games and make a thousand mistakes, and you still won't even get yanked out of a game, as long as you are tight with the senators. Just ask Bonera how that works, lol.

I read on Milannews the hesitation is something to do with bonuses he gets at Roma which wouldn't be valid in Milan or something. Milan (the brand) isn't as attractive as it was though, the reason players would join is that potentially it's massive, but right now no top player would come to Milan if other more competitive sides want them.
Anyway, looks like Destro's agreed this morning now, so he'll join on loan for 700k with a 15m+ price tag in the summer. Rumoured salary will be 2.5m plus bonuses.

By the way....does anyone have an opinion on Lorenzo Tonelli? He is the other CB in Empoli's CB duo. Rugani is owned by Juventus, but Tonelli (25) has impressed me the few times that I've seen them play. As a matter of fact he's been more solid then Rugani in my opinion.
Can't say I know Tonelli, I almost never watch Empoli, but he does appear to be having a good season. Could you give more detail on him?

Destro has made his first comments. Basically thanked Roma and said he can't wait to start a new challenge in Milan.

The Milan proposal is just the absurd shit that's typical of Galliani. Doesn't even make sense, as it's not like Milan had an abundance to midfielders in 2012 and it was the start of the transition in Milan.

Nothing heard regarding Paulinho lately. Munoz will be free in the summer, too bad he'll not be playing for Palermo either this season as he's frozen out there.
Heard Salah will go to Fiorentina as part of the Cuadrado to Chelsea deal.

Like someone mentioned earlier, we're going to have a squad size of about 100 by the time the summer rolls around. I wonder if the Condor has a plan for that too?

Squad size reduction is not going to happen but at the same time I am actually confident that the loans will be dealt with well. I am sure the bigger issue in September will still be the quality of who is with us, not how many.

Dev, I don't know much about him myself. I have watched Empoli a few times this year (they have impressed me every time with the way they play actually) and he's been very good every time. One game that he particularly impressed me in was the Inter game. Granted the entire Empoli team was good and they shut Inter down completely (this is right after Inter got Mancini). Tonelli was very capable in the back line. He was able to play a high line, was strong in the air, and was very quick and physical. Tactically he looked great. Everyone is talking about Rugani, but I have actually been more impressed by Tonelli rather then Rugani. Obviously Tonelli is 25 and should be close to the finished product compared to Rugani.......but he looked like an interesting player to me. I was just asking if anyone else has seen him play and what people's opinion of him is as I haven't seen enough. We are not linked to him or anything like that, I was just interested.

That's not going to bother Galliani. Yes, he has a plan. When it is summer, he will just sell our best 5 players and save on the salary
then loan out 80 players and pay 50% salary for 40 of them, then buy, I mean, loan + option another 10 players. Come winter, loan + option another 5 players, Milan will be "fine as we are".
