RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Ca Rossonero - 04-26-2011 For the last time, how can you say we 'need' him without ibra- barca have 88 goals in 33 matches 2.66 per match with ibra- barca had 98 goals in 38 matches 3.57 per match without ibra- milan 6 matches, 12 goals- 2 per match (5 wins, 1 loss by the way) with ibra- milan 28 games, 48 goals- 1.7 per match He doesn't make a huge difference to either team because both have class options aside him. He's simply not worth his money to milan....That money's better spent on hernanes in midfield. Considering his wages and class, you'd think we'd see a bigger dropoff without him. The numbers suggest otherwise RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - russo-neri - 04-26-2011 (04-26-2011, 10:11 PM)Ca Rossonero Wrote: For the last time, how can you say we 'need' him You say that now, but when Pato inevitably gets injured again and again each year, our "class options" become scarce. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Ca Rossonero - 04-26-2011 I'm off the belief it's just bad luck with pato's injuries. He had no problems his first two years. If you think it's chronic we should sell him... And we won ucl with Tommasson and Rivaldo as back up strikers. Gila as a back up othertime. This idea we need "FOUR WORLD CLASS" strikers is overblown. We need someone relatively reliable to back up pato, not expensive. We got Robinho and Cassano who r clas support strikers who will supply that player with balls. I'd rather spend the money saved to fix the midfield There's more to football than forwards RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - WCmilan - 04-26-2011 If napoli get Benzema surely they cant keep both cavani and lavezzi?? Hopefully we can grab one of them.(cavani!!!) From your stats, it's clear you just minimized your perspective. You should find stats from the start of Serie A and focus what Ibra DID as footballer (NOT ONLY how many goals he SCORED). He made important assists when Milan did need goal. Hopefully we can grab one of them.(cavani!!!) They won't get him. Di Stefano and Zidane love him and put too much of there name behind his 'talent. And same with Perez. Mark my words, if he continues showing form, they'll sell higuain first. Though probably not this summer. For whatever reasons he seems to get the Morientese treatment under Perez, but benzema is seen as savior Besides if they wanted to sell him it'd start at 25 mil. That's out of napoli territory. If napoli wanna make noise in UCL, they need a quality defender and midfielder first and foremost. You should find stats from the start of Serie A and focus what Ibra DID as footballer (NOT ONLY how many goals he SCORED). He made important assists when Milan did need goal. I've said this before, I'm perfectly aware of his quality. But this isn't 2009 Milan with Kaka. We got Robinho, Cassano both perfectly capable of double digit assists and creation. And we got Pato who is a natural goalscorer. We don't NEED Zlatan the way Inter did. But heck inter sold him, got etoo, milito, sneijder so they made up for it. Now we're in a better situation cause we got 3 class strikers. All we need is a modest CF, can be older who can score and play #9 role to round it out, and use money saved on Zlatan's wages and transfer fee to invest heavily in midfield, our area of concern. I'll put it this simply.... We are likely to spend big on ONE player at most. Ganso, being most likely source. The rest of our buys will be budget. We'll get Mexes or Astori at CB (which is good value). We'll probably get Tawio at LB, but it's possible Criscito or Balzaretti come at lower prices too (in criscito's case if we gave borriello). And then get someone like KEvin Constant in CM since we won't have money to go farther. Now would you rather have this market? Or would you rather give up Zlatan find a 4th CF like maybe quagliarella who jube might not pick up or Adebayor who Madrid might not keep (I doubt they keep him + benz and higuain) or heck Forlan.... And then be able to get a CM like Nuri Sahin? Someone with true world class qualities to help us get closer to a full rebuild of the midfield? I'd side for second option. We made excellent buys in Robinho and Cassano. We're cool uptop. And they've shown we can win, win big and with style without Zlatan And BTW it is true, Zlatan slows down our play and it cost us in UCL. Compare way we play w/ Zlatan (slower) than v. Inter, Sampdoria etc. with robinho/Pato/Cassano wreaking havok and the interchanging play. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - WCmilan - 04-26-2011 My dream would be to buy neymar ganso and hernanes. I know you'll all say italian identity this that.. well im italian so dont get me wrong id rather have a good italian player then any other good player from any other nationality.. but there all gems to be honest and think about the chemistry theyll have playing on the NT then with us.. bad on one part becasue brazil will win 2 world cups in a row but good on milans part because we'll win alot too. imagine this as our team - ----pato(balotelli)------neymar------ ---------ganso(robinho)------------ --boateng-hernanes--ambrosini-- --coentrao-silva-mexes--abate--- ------------neuer------------------ thats a DREammmmmmmmmm team but we can keep dreaming sorry i had to just see that line up RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Ca Rossonero - 04-26-2011 As for italians..... I think Poli has potential to be our future Anchor. This season, despite being benched early, when he's played that role he's making most successful tackles per minute of anyone on Sampdoria. And is on par with Gattuso, Van Bommel and Naingollaan who are best in serie A at this, this season Considering samp might be going down, we should jump him and groom him to replace those players. He's not really pirlo, who he gets compared to, though he is a good passer RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Siregar - 04-26-2011 Stats from soccernet from our strikers: ----------------- Games --- Goals --- Assists --- Shots Robinho ---------- 30 ------ 12 -------- 3 -------- 86 Pato -------------- 22 ------ 14 -------- 2 -------- 58 Ibrahimovic ------ 28 ------ 14 -------- 11 ------ 114 Cassano ---------- 22 ------ 8 --------- 8 -------- 36 Robinho and Ibrahimovic are not great finisher, not only from the stats shown but from games we watched. IIRC the difference between both players are that Ibra wasted many shots (some were good chances, many of them were normal shots) while Robinho threw away many good-great chances. I do think that their lack of quality at finishing (could) cost us in Champions League's type of games. I really miss the cool finisher like Inzaghi and Sheva. RE: Summer Mercato 2011 - Gabriel426 - 04-27-2011 Ibra is staying in Milan, period. If he happens to leave it will be bc some team is wiling to pay him a lot more than now and pay Milan a huge transfer fee and it won't be bc Milan don't need him or bc his wages are too high like Dinho. Taiwo is a Milan player, is that official? That's a pretty good deal, considering he is physically a beast and he is on a free transfer. Beside, there just ain't that many good LB out there anymore. Is Constant going to be Milan next signing? He could be another Boateng, actually he is another Boateng. I had been reading that Lazio might not hold on to Hernanes? is that true? |
