Why does ANYONE want to sell Robinho? Robinho as a 3rd striker on the bench is probably the best bench striker in the world! He plays for us so consistently good and has a poor finish that will be better with confidence.
Pato on the other hand is struggling physically, tactically and psychologically. He's 21 he wants to play and improve. We are AC Milan. We can't sit and eat popcorn and watch him do it. We've done everything we can to help him. He's not paying the goods. He is now worth 35-40m... let's sell him now before his price drops further more. He's double the worth of Robinho, and won't accept the bench.
There really should be no question on who we want to sell - IF we are getting Tevez. If however we are getting Maxi Lopez then everything changes. Selling Pato would only be the right thing to do if we get the world class player called Tevez, no one else, besides that we should not sell him yet.

Pato scored against Barcelona in Camp Nou, and in San Siro Robinho missed a ball 2 feet from the Goal with No GK there.
I'm a big Robinho fan as well, trust me, and I've agreed a lot with you about Pato being injured, etc. However, to say Robinho is worth double the importance as Pato is big stretch. They've had almost equal contribution and Pato has played A LOT less minutes. Robinho brings something no other striker with us does, and that's work rate. I'll give you that. However, Cassano & Ibrahimovic are better passers, and Tevez works EVEN HARDER than Robinho. So, deciding who will go (Binho or Pato) will be more difficult for management than you think. For me, it's very close and leaning toward Pato for the sole reason of him being our only Penalty Box Striker once Inzaghi leaves.

Allegri said that as long as ibra plays,there is no difference to play robinho or pato. so,we can afford pato's growing pain.besides,pato has developped WC finish since he arrived milan,his score rate is no less than ibra already.the only issue about pato concerns me is his injury.

ELMago, you misunderstood my post bro. I did not mean Robinho's worth double, I meant Pato's worth double more than Robinho (in price). I thought thats what I written but I really dont feel like re-reading it lol.
Binho definitely offers more than Pato, whether its by 1% or by 50%. However if we sell both, we could get double the amount if we sell Pato, thats why I think it's best to sell Pato. Obviously Pato has a better future than Robinho, and it is correct to build for the future, but with Pato it seems like the future is always going to be the future and never the present, and that's the motto for Arsenal not us. We need immediate success.

Robinho's return was important because he offered movement up front which none of our other attackers seem to do. I can't agree with you here. Robinho hasn't played consistently good for us at all this year. Even in his return match, he made a lot of silly mistakes and while his movement's good, on the ball he's been pretty poor. It's taken a psychological effect too, as was said by many players post match last night. Tactically, he's also having some problems because it means there are many times that we have no forward actually up front. With Ibra given licence to drop deep, and Robinho rarely acting as a lead forward, we rely on runs from deep to get bodies into the box. This was evident last night as Nocerino (a midfielder) was the player who got the most chances in our team with his driving runs down the left. It was also evident against Fiorentina, where for all our possession, we didn't create as many chances as we theoretically should have.
Pato's not in good form since his return, but he can act as a leading striker, even if it's not a position he's played until now. The truth is he acts as a reference point for his teammates to work off and it allows Ibra to move with freedom rather than having to stay up front as a target.

I firmly agree with Dev. I like Robinho a lot, and last year I always wanted him to start over Pato. However, this year has not been good. If you're looking for movement, you'll find plenty of that with Tevez, don't worry. I am willing to give Robinho more time, but at Milan, fighting on 3 fronts, expected to win trophy's, you don't have a lot of time, unfortunately. The main thing is tactically, with Ibra, Cassano, El Shaaraway Robinho, & possibly Tevez, we won't have a Penalty Box Striker. There must be balance in the strikers, and I just don't see Milan having 4-5 Second Strikers on their team.
