RE: Winter mercato January 2015 - Mystik - 01-27-2015 Armero is linked with a move to Genoa. We're linked with Antonelli. If we end up paying anything for Antonelli, I'll laugh. I distinctly remember him having 2-3 amazing matches for LB under Carlo in the Coppa Italia I think. He was still a member of the Primavera and I thought surely we had a player for the future. Suddenly he didn't play anymore..then he was gone
RE: Winter mercato January 2015 - reza - 01-27-2015 Strictly speaking Armero isn't ours but I guess if Galliani could do a Torres type deal he can do Armero too. And then do a Cassano type one Armero + 7 million for Antonelli The fact that we can come up with something like this and it actually can happen this way is so sad
RE: Winter mercato January 2015 - Milanista87 - 01-27-2015 Antonelli is a pretty good signing(if we sign him), Munoz is not the type of defender Milan needs, while Milan needs a more all rounder than a poacher, a player like Destro is last thing that this Milan needs. Paulinho is a box to box player with little creavity. He will solve our creavity problems? No. Bocchetti was a good CB/LB, i haven't seen him since his Genoa days. i just look at his games, it seems he didnt play a game since October 26. Paulinho, Munoz, Bocchetti, Destro are typical Galliani signings. Galliani always find a way to sign players that we dont need. Paulinho would be a great signing, but I haven't read much about the chances of actually getting him yet, aside from Milannews.it quoting La Republicca saying that Galliani is waiting for the go ahead from Berlusconi to start negotiating. If this is the case, then it sounds like the rumors about Berlusconi giving Milan money for transfers are true. In total we could be talking about 4-5 new players coming in. It does sound unlikely, but we already have Bocchetti, Destro is close to signing and we are negotiating with Palermo about Munoz. If we sign Paulinho and Taraabt too, we're basically replacing half of our (somewhat) regular starting 11. A strong reaction from the club, definitely. RE: Winter mercato January 2015 - slifersd - 01-27-2015 The names we are linked with are not sexy, but they are upgrades to what we currently have. Bochetti: He was pretty highly rated when he played for Genoa, but haven't heard much about him since. He is pretty young still, and has position versatility being able to cover CB and LB positions. If anything, signing him would probably mean Bonera is gone in the summer, which is always a plus. Good squad player, probably not going to turn our defense around but certainly helps. Munoz: he is probably a done deal for next season already. He may or may not be a world class defender in the making, but he has youth, energy and form on his side. He can probably provide the energy and pace that our defense lacks so much. We have a lot of size in the back, but the energy, activity and pace are just not there. Paulinho: with our midfield, this guy can only help. We need more of everything in the midfield, and Paulinho is a qualify player, so he is welcomed for sure. Destro: i know 17 million is a lot for him, but considering how british and german clubs are also trying to get him, he is probably worth the money. If anything, we can sign him for 17 million and then sell him a year later for like 30 million from Arsenal and make a healthy profit. Young player with talent and a decent performance record, he is exactly the type of player we need, even though he probably plays a position we already have too many players at. Overall, these players will help, which can only be a good thing for the team. CL is probably out of reach at this point, but EL is still well within reach. I would still prefer to what Inter did with their market, but this is better than vast majority of our recent mercatos for sure. RE: Winter mercato January 2015 - Jay Crisp - 01-27-2015 I fully believe there is zero chance of Paulinho.By all accounts we're not even trying for him. RE: Winter mercato January 2015 - reza - 01-27-2015 I agree, don't expect Paulinho. Like I said earlier, even if Berlusconi is spending Paulinho is not all that easy. RE: Winter mercato January 2015 - millinarios - 01-27-2015 Berlusconi is spending... Time.
