RE: Summer mercato 2021 - mazen111 - 02-13-2021 Don Diario: Milan and Juventus are among the clubs interested in the average Spanish midfielder, Isco .. Real Madrid wants to abandon the player in the summer. RE: Summer mercato 2021 - nefremo - 02-13-2021 But his contract doesn't end "this season". It expires in June of 2022. In any case, he's the probably the easiest to replace from our starting line up. If he wants to go to Atletico, he can. When he hits form, he's decent. Currently he's in a decent run of form amd that's good. But far too often he has stretches where he looks sloppy and so out of place on the field. These players want contracts in line with players that have performed at a top level (CL, etc) consistently for 3+ years. Yet, they've only performed at a high level for barely a year, haven't won shit, and are yet to even make an appearance in the CL. RE: Summer mercato 2021 - Demonbanana - 02-13-2021 In: Ramos. Out: Romagnoli. BTW, I'm not saying I want Sergio Ramos here. There's many other options. I can just see it happening. We already have Kjaer, Gabbia, Kululu the perhaps Tomori. Not to mention Romagnoli would benched if he wasn't Captain I think he should anyway, like Ambrosini who didn't always start. Romagnoli has been pretty average for a while. Potential :Kjaer, Ramos, Tomori, Gabbia, Kalulu. Get the maximum we can for Romagnoli (€20M in this climate). RE: Summer mercato 2021 - Sleeping Giant - 02-13-2021 Pessina should be bought immediately, Meite being sent back where he came from. RE: Summer mercato 2021 - devoted_dm - 02-13-2021 Interesting opinion on the Donnarumma saga: https://sempremilan.com/brambati-makes-bold-claim-regarding-donnarumma-renewal-raiola-wants-to-convince-him-not-to-sign "Gigio would sign immediately, he wants to stay at Milan. The fight is between the player and his agent and not between the player and the club." RE: Summer mercato 2021 - Demonbanana - 02-13-2021 (02-13-2021, 03:50 PM)devoted_dm Wrote: Interesting opinion on the Donnarumma saga: https://sempremilan.com/brambati-makes-bold-claim-regarding-donnarumma-renewal-raiola-wants-to-convince-him-not-to-sign So tell Raiola to back off or fire him. Agent's shouldn't be involved in this manner. Raiola's job is to get a deal Gigio is happy with. If Gigio is happy to sign 7.5M/5yr then that should be the end of the issue. RE: Summer mercato 2021 - nefremo - 02-13-2021 (02-13-2021, 03:50 PM)devoted_dm Wrote: Interesting opinion on the Donnarumma saga: https://sempremilan.com/brambati-makes-bold-claim-regarding-donnarumma-renewal-raiola-wants-to-convince-him-not-to-sign Whoever wrote this piece should probably read on "the law of agency". An agent is employed by the player. Just like how an agent can represent you in a real estate dealing, or a lawyer can represent you in a trial. They are there to look after your interest. Negotiate on your behalf. Try and get you the deal you wanted, or at the very least get you close to that. They will then disclose all options and act as a mediator....but in all cases, it's then the principle (in this case, player...Gigio) that makes the decision. So, not sure how the fight is between Gigio and Raiola. That makes zero sense.... As a matter of fact...Raiola has confirmed this himself in the past...multiple times, on different occasions. One that comes to mind is Hamsik. That was when he fired back at the press for calling him greedy and constantly moving his players around. His response was basically what I wrote above. He stated he only moves those that ask to be moved and threw the example of Hamsik towards the journalists...stating those that wanna stay, he ensures that they stay (at the time, at Napoli). Of course he's also been fired by multiple players....probably by breaching that "law of agency" and not necessarily looking after the players' best interests, but his own. So, Gigio can easily do the same if he wants to. Btw...does anyone have a list of the best paid GKs in the world and where Gigio ranks on that? I can't find a good one. Some are net, some a gross, etc. But nothing recent or current where I can see how he ranks when compared to the best GKs in Europe. So, Gigio can easily do the same if he wants to. Yeah I'm not saying Gigio doesn't have a responsibility here. He needs to put his foot down. But I can definitely see how Raiola is the problem, and I think Donnarumma is being manipulated into pushing for a deal that's beyond what the club can or will offer. A two-year contract worth 10M per year is just ridiculous. If we agreed to that, we would either have to go back to the negotiating table in a year's time and probably have to deal with even crazier demands, or we'd have to sell the player in 2022 to ensure we at least get a decent transfer fee for him. Most likely it would be the latter. This is the part that I'm not sure Donnarumma actually understands. Raiola really doesn't seem to want him to stay at Milan, and now that the club is being run in a professional way again, and we're doing really well on the pitch, the only reason for that would be money – Raiola's agent fees. I'll just agree to disagree here. ![]() I'd feel bad for a 13 year old being manipulated, brainwashed, etc. Maybe a 16-17 year Gigio was too. But now? Come on. I don't buy that for 1 second. I actually don't blame Raiola at all here. He's an asshole. Hs's a greedy bastard. But at the end of the day, he will follow the player's wish. Every time. If the player's wish is to get the highest contract possible? That's what Raiola will do. Not sure how Donnarumma doesn't understand that if he signs a 2 yr extension, this process will be repeated next summer or a sale will be forced. I'd assume he's not that much of an idiot.... RE: Summer mercato 2021 - ac.michael - 02-13-2021 (02-12-2021, 05:22 PM)nefremo Wrote: Exactly. If price is 20, then getting him for 10 is ok. But if they wanna set the price insanely high, then there is no point. He doesn't seem like a world beater true, but if the price is right with our discount then he's a far better option than Meite, Krunic or anyone of those likes. |
