Summer Mercato - 2025 - reza - 05-26-2025 Big sales? Mediocre buys? Italian Milan? Discuss the summer mercato. RE: Summer Mercato - 2025 - xudong - 05-26-2025 (05-26-2025, 01:38 AM)reza Wrote: Big sales? Mediocre buys? Italian Milan? There is a great chance that all of the above could happen. We may sell our superstars and buy a bunch of mediocre Italian players. Not really looking forward to this summer mercato... RE: Summer Mercato - 2025 - slifersd1 - 05-26-2025 Big sale, maybe several of them is probably a given at this point. Don't see how this team stays financially above water without it Mercato will mostly be lower cost signings, that inherently carry a higher risk of failure Italian Milan is probably also a given, since the management is probably going to over-react to the season and think any mediocre Italian would've given us a better chance at winning RE: Summer Mercato - 2025 - Beppe - 05-26-2025 I hope we buy some Italians, but not just for the sake of it. They have to have quality. But we’ve let so many slip in recent years that it will be difficult now. But I prefer Italians like Orsolini or Chiesa to have in the squad instead of Chuckwueze and Okafor. Tonali and Buongiorno shouldve been our players. Giovani Leoni is an incredible talent, we shouldn’t let him slip, but Juve and Inter are also strongly interested. Speaking of Italians and Milan DNA, Daniel Maldini scored 2 good goals yesterday, he is a very nice player when fit, wouldn’t mind him as option from the bench. RE: Summer Mercato - 2025 - Arildonardo - 05-26-2025 Brace yourselves for more bad signings, sales and decisions. At this point I really can't see a way out of this mess unless we score some lucky long shots. Hopefully it will change, somehow... RE: Summer Mercato - 2025 - Sampinjon - 05-26-2025 Thrill awaits you... Guess which Chelsea reject will became our top "reinforcement" and win valuable prizes - debts in amounts of 100, 300 and 500 euros. For the most crafty fans there is special treat - fantasy draft. Build "Serie A winning team" with excessive budget of 35M + sales. And remember - don't spend it all at one place. You stuck? Worry not - loan with option to buy is your friend. RE: Summer Mercato - 2025 - Leoni9900 - 05-26-2025 Milan’s delay in hiring a SD will greatly cost them in their coaching search. Conte and Allegri will likely go to Juve and Napoli respectively and Italiano resigning in Bologna and De Zerbi deciding to stay in France. We are left with Sarri, Mancini and Motta. “ So, that is four candidates who are unavailable for Igli Tare from the outset. From there, the list offers few names: Thiago Motta, Maurizio Sarri and Roberto Mancini. It almost feels similar to the decision that brought Tare to the club, which we assessed prior to his arrival, where Milan have to settle for a choice, rather than making their own.” -Calciomercato RE: Summer Mercato - 2025 - Beppe - 05-26-2025 We are always moving slow. This club isn’t run as a professional football club. RE: Summer Mercato - 2025 - Bennacer - 05-26-2025 I dreamt that Klopp was a madman and took charge of Milan. I wish my dreams could become true .
RE: Summer Mercato - 2025 - nefremo - 05-26-2025 Official announcement on Tare. So I guess (at least) we are in business. Tare (apparently) already had a meeting at Casa Milan with Roma's director and agent Riso. We need to get a coach. It'll be easier to bring players in that way. As for the remainder of the summer, the following 2 things would be agood start imo.... 1) Keep Reijnders. If we need to raise money (and we will need to), then sell other players. Tomori, RLC, Thiaw, Chukwueze, etc. Even Mike and/or Theo. 2) Tap into the Italian market. We need to restart with a sense of belonging and culture. Of course, has to be quality. But there is quality in Serie A. Buy from within the league. Sure, if there is an unreal deal to be made from outside (beit a prospect or experience), then go for it. But please, enough with the overspending on average players from outside of Italy who only seem to be here on vacation. |
